Dogs are family. They are like kids you just have to give them time, attention and love. I have always had a dog in my home and raised them like a part of the family. Dogs need a sense of comfort and security to develop properly. You also have to understand their nature and pack mentality. In providing all of this,a dog i s easy to understand and train. Once that bond and understanding and trust is created you have made a friend for life. A true companion. I often watch and take care of other friends dogs. Take them to our camp for the weekend to let them run and play or stay at the house. Dogs are pack animals and prefer to be aro ins people or other dogs and being alone all day causes them stress and anxiety.
