Pets are part of our family we go on long walks at Fort Funston, the beach, and our neighborhood. We have a very friendly Portuguese Water Dog that loves to play. We have two boys ages 11 and 12 that love dogs and know how to wear dogs out. I have had dogs all my life from 3 pounds to 120. I have had several therapy dogs that I take to the hospital and cancer units to visit with patients it is the biggest reward to having a dog. Our last PWD went to my partner's office with her every day to visit with patients. Dogs have been the greatest gift we have given our children. I watch how they care for dogs and how gentle they have been with them as puppies
