Pet care experience
I have had animals all my life. Have a horse farm on 35 acres. 20 min. From Blacksburg, Va. Have raised and trained horses and dogs for over 20 years. Retired farrier and have most days available. I have 3 dogs, 1 cat and 7 horses. My dogs, cat and horses are all very friendly and social. I have land to run or land to walk. We also have the Little River for a swim. We probably would not do as well if your dog had to stay on leash. Most dogs are allowed to be free and expected to stay with our pack. We are outside most of the day year round. I will only except neutered and spayed in my home. But happy to come to your home for all others! And happy to help with your puppies! ?

I would highly recommend Terrie as a dog sitter! She is kind, compassionate, trustworthy, and incredibly dog-savvy. She has taken care of my dogs, and other pets, in the past and she would make an excellent addition to the Rover team!
Terrie has been taking care of our two dogs a few times. She came to our place for a few days to almost two weeks, fed them, walked them, played with them and cuddled them... so well that everytime we would come back home, we would find them perfectly healthy, clean, and happy. she is definitely a dog person, and she is so kind, attentive, caring that we have always been totally confident to leave our beloved pets with her. We highly highly recommend her!
Terrie is trustworthy, reliable, dependable, sensible, and calm in a crisis. You can be confident that she will care for your beloved pets as if they were her own. When I met Terrie many years ago, she had a herd of 16 horses and a pack of (mostly rescued) dogs – all shapes and sizes. Animals that needed help always seemed to show up on Terrie’s doorstep. Through the years she has lovingly cared for them all. Your pets will thank you for being in Terrie’s good and capable care!
Terrie has watched my fur baby on and off for the past 10 yrs. The energy and love she puts into not only the animals she watches, but people around her is unheard of. Terrie picks up on energy and personality easily and adjust her approach in each setting, this makes her mindful and gentle in nature. My fur baby, Famous, has taken to her in a beautiful way and seeing the bond my dog has to her is so sweet to watch.
