I "Must Love Dogs & Cats." :)

Pet care experience

If I could, I'd have many more pets in my home. Unfortunately, my two rescue dogs don't like to share. I'm reliable, home full-time & have a flexible schedule. My interest in Rover came about because personally, I struggled to feel comfortable with having a stranger come into my home & give over so much responsibility. I know what it's like to be on your end. I'm confident that I can be the answer to your anxiety about this. I'm a longtime resident of Los Gatos with deep roots in the community. I'm passionate about all animals. I have a horse, two dogs, and a cat. I'm good offering care to whatever furry friend you have. Ready to give your pet exceptional love & attention.

Terrie is so great! Our dog is a little anxious about walks and Terrie takes special time to make sure she is comfortable and happy. Don’t know what we would do without her!

Teri is wonderful! You can tell she really loves dogs and enjoys taking care of them. I highly recommend her.

Terrie did a great job housesitting for me and caring for my three dogs. We did a meet/greet before the stay and my dogs seemed to really warm up to her quickly. She asked all the right questions about each of my dog’s personalities and what was needed to make them feel comfortable. She seemed very responsible and I was able to go on my trip knowing my dogs would be in good hands. While I was away, I received photos of my dogs and texts that updated me on how the visit was going. When I returned home, my pets were happy and content. We all had a good experience. I will definitely ask Terrie back.

Terrie is definitely a dog person. She came by before the walk to meet Faith and she knew how to meet a new dog, Faith instantly took to her. On the logistics side she asked all the right questions and everything went great. She sent lots of pictures and Faith had a good time

Information Terrie K. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know the temperament of your pet. What works best in making them feel safe, comfortable and happy? Should I show excitement and playfulness when meeting them or should I be quiet and move slow? Any stranger anxiety? What frightens your pet/What don't they like? For example, my chihuahua doesn't like to be touched on her lower back and my terrier is afraid of noisy large delivery trucks on our walks.

A typical day

I believe that the dog gets to set the tone of our time together. If your fur baby is shy, then we'd simply spend time on the floor allowing companionship and an easy slow adjustment into having a new caregiver with trust to coming at their pace. For an active, confident and friendly dog, I say, it's time to play fetch, go on a walk/run or simply lay on the floor where I can give attention and tummy rubs.
