Pet care experience
This is just like leaving your little dog at grandma's house (except you don't have to pay grandma). Our little visitors are treated as if they were our own. We watch well behaved little dogs up to 30 pounds in our Dana Point home, which is surrounded by 5' fencing. I get them out for two walks a day, and the little darlings are welcome to sleep wherever they want to. We've been dog-sitting for 12 years now and really enjoy it, and my four adult children come and go at random times throughout the year, but we ALL love our doggy visitors. I often take them down to walk in the harbor to meet and greet other little dogs, or take them walking over in Doheney beach.

Terri has been sitting for our two rescued dogs for 4 years now. Our dogs love her, and excitedly run to her as soon as we arrive at her home. Terri goes above and beyond to care for our dogs, taking them on outings to dog parks and the beach for special walks. If our dogs need something special because of our vet’s request, Terri is more than happy to comply. When we return, our dogs are always happy and healthy, quite different from when we used a kennel prior to meeting Terri. I’d recommend her for any small dogs stay from 1 day to.... The longest our dogs have stayed with Terri is 18 days, though I’d have no problem leaving them even longer, if necessary.

Please come over with your little dog for a meet-and-greet. If you have a white fluffy thang, then I don't really need to meet it to know we'll get along fine. WFT's are always social. But if you have a super smart ornery dog, like a schnauzer or a small shepherd, I will definitely want to meet your dog in advance to see if we're a good fit.
A typical day
