Pet care experience
Every animal is an individual who deserves to feel secure and loved while their favorite person is away. I’ll provide all the long walks, cuddles, playtime, and carry out any special instructions you have in place to make sure your pet’s needs are met. I have several years of previous pet-sitting experience with small non-app-based companies, and I'm excited to be here at Rover!
Reviews
I can’t say enough about Terra! She is just the best!!!
Terra took amazing care of our 8 year old lab. We hate leaving him, and knowing he was in such good hands made it easier to enjoy our trip. She always responded to messages quickly and sent us lots of pictures. Henry (our pup) got lots of love and snuggles and was a very happy boy with Terra! Definitely will. Erecahi g out to Terra again!
Great experience with Terra! She and her husband were very nice and accommodating to our shy and anxious pup. They sent great pictures and detailed updates. Would definitely book with them again!
Terra is the best! She is our go-to whenever we have to leave town. Our dog has a nervous temperament, but he is always so excited to see her and not at all nervous when we drop him off!

I live in a two-story house with ample space for up to two buddies. I have experience in giving medication, caring for wounds and surgical stitches, and crating if requested. I’m comfortable and patient with animals who are scared, shy, high-energy, vocal, and everywhere in between. Dogs I've had in adulthood & teen years include a Golden Retriever, a German Shorthair Pointer, two hound mixes, a cattle dog mix, and a pittie/staffie mix, all rescues. I had cats throughout childhood, and I'm fairly experienced around horses. I'm a competent intermediate rider, have worked as a carriage handler in Chicago, and am familiar with their food, exercise and grooming needs and their nonverbal cues. I'm open to house-sitting for farm animals upon request.

Information Terra H. would like to know about your pet
I’m confident with all personality types and energy levels. Let me know if there is anything specific to avoid on our walks, such as other dogs, bicycles, skateboards, anything that makes them nervous. Also, how much exercise time they’re accustomed to, what their favorite snacks are, and what time of day meals and walks usually happen. That should be it! I’m already excited to meet them.
A typical day
I like to walk in Blackstone Park near my house; your dog will have plenty of exercise and fun things to see & smell. If they’re social, there are several off-leash dog parks to choose from. With permission, I love to bring them on hikes or to the beach. After that, I can offer a big piece of comfy couch and some snuggles!

I’m currently working from home as a seamstress and textile artist, so I’m able to structure my day in a way that prioritizes your pet. By making my own schedule, I have the freedom to focus on their comfort first.
