Pet care experience
I’ve had pets my whole life. I am the family pet and house sitter and have been for many many years. Unfortunately, our Barkley had to leave us last year due to cancer, the family still isn’t ready for a new baby after that loss. (He’s the big furry black/white dog in my photos). I’ve had pets my whole life: a yorkie/Pom, lab, border collie mix, cats (the tiny black one in my photos is Cinderella, she is currently 17 years old! She was born in my uncles barn in Tennessee, brought her home as a baby all those years ago (we had her brother as well “fathead”, no I didn’t name them lol, we lost him 2 years ago due to kidney failure. This is where my experience with IV’s really helped) Cinderella still gets the zoomies like a kitten!), hamsters, ferrets, pups/elderly dogs, fish (currently have a beta and mystery snails), Boston terrier, pug mix. And grew up around my uncles farm with horses, chickens, ducks, goats, a donkey… you name it and I’ve taken care of them in some capacity!! I love every animal! I cannot confirm nor deny the crying that occurs when I leave them for the last time! :) Feeding, bathing, giving treats, going for walks, or just hanging out in the yard or house… a girl couldn’t ask for a better day!

Terra has watched many of my dogs over the years, from a tiny Morkie who wore diapers to very huge Rottweilers that I currently have. When I say “watched” I mean loves them like they are her own pets. She once again had to diaper the one dog, give meds to the elderly dogs and generally keep a loving, calm environment all around. We always receive cuddle pictures while watching TV or laying in bed sleeping in. I would definitely recommend Terra for any dog sitting needs!
Terra is an animals best friend. While she cares for the obvious physical needs, she also interacts with animals on a personal level. She develops a relationship of trust instantly. She has cared for our dog on a normal basis, after surgery and during the final stages of cancer. I recommend Terra for your care needs.
Terra watched our little Coco for 3 nights and she we was AMAZING! She asked questions, sent photos of cuddles and silly moments which we loved. What we found most comforting is Terra was open to Coco’s unique needs and scheduling so we could enjoy our vacation without any worries.

I have many references that can back up my quality of care! They can tell you how much I will love your fur baby, and how well I take care of them. They become my babies while you’re gone, and forever after that if I’m being honest :) I also clean while I’m there because making sure you come home to a clean house and healthy/happy babies is what it’s all about! EVERYONE deserves to feel and know that things are taken care of at home just the same as if you were there while they are gone. Your babies and home are safe and taken care of with me, whatever that looks like to YOU! I’m here to help you.

If there is anything I need to know or account for just let me know! I have given oral meds, injections, IV fluids etc to numerous animals, let me know their needs, wants, things they enjoy etc. I will take the time to get to know them as well, but you know them best! Meds etc. tell me of course, but let’s write it down and make a check list per se so I can keep track, and you have a hard copy of what has been given etc. it helps me to see it in writing, and helps you to see what has been done along the way (also, I love a good list lol) I’m also not opposed to pictures when things are being done so you have a visual that they have what they need, it helps everyone feel at ease when it’s visually documented.
A typical day
I will take them for walks, we will play with toys (if they want to that is lol). I will do whatever I can to make sure they are not only cared for, but enjoying our time together! They may be slightly spoiled when you get back, but all puppies (even the older ones are puppies to me!) need treats/snuggles/tons of love and I’m not opposed to giving them all the above!

Availability
I am a teacher in the area. I start at 7:00 and I’m off by 2:30, that leaves me time in the morning to drop by, and then able to get back to them by 2:45-3:00 at the latest. Help me help you feel at ease knowing they are happy, safe, loved, and comfortable while you enjoy whatever you need/want to do!
