Handling your fur-baby your way!
Pet care experience
Teri provides service from your home where your pet knows the rules and is most comfortable. She is dog CPR & First Aid trained and specializes in handling active gun dogs with specific training. She can also walk dogs who are pets and train puppies to walk on a lead if they need to learn this. Teri has cats and dogs herself, and is not a stranger to kitty box management and finicky felines. She also has experience caring for elderly dogs and is quite astute and reading their body language in order to determine their needs. Let her know if you want to do a meet and greet for house sitting, dog walking or a drop in visit. Let your pet decide if she is the right choice for your critter sitting needs. If you are contacting me regarding overnight care, I include one dog walk. If you have two dogs and I can walk them together, then no extra fee. If they are reactive, or need to be exercised separately, then that is $10 per walk. You can expect me to not leave a dog unattended for more than three hours at a time. I keep errands short and make your dog(s) a priority! As a sitter, I feel it is important to understand that your dogs mind you the best. I will not take a client's dog to a dog park where there are so many dogs off leash. Usually a guest dog minds me best on the last day I care for them. Once the pup understands I am caring for them, giving them treats (approved by you) and know where their food is, they are more obedient and friendly. A good sitter will always make time to do a meet and greet before a service to be sure it is a good match. Be sure to insist upon one!
Reviews
Teri is amazing!!!
Teri was great! Extremely detail-oriented and thorough. We felt sure that our high-maintenance dogs would be safe with her - and they were! They got lots of exercise as well :) Would recommend!
Love Teri! She takes such great care of my fur baby!
Terri is fantastic at communicating any needs that come up and love the great photos she shares asking the walk.

Information Teri T. would like to know about your pet
Your pet routines. Specific voice commands and corresponding hand/body signals. What kind of exercise or play does your dog enjoy, how long of a walk? Times per day? Can you provide a harness in addition to a collar? (safer for the sitter and dog) What motivates your pet? Favorite treats? Known allergies? Counter Surfer? How does your dog/cat signal to go out? Indoor only cat? How does your dog behave around cats? What is your dog's bedtime routine and where do they sleep when at home?
A typical day
A good dog is a tired dog. Routines are important. Mental and physical stimulation will help distract your pet while you are away. Snuffle mats, and enrichment games are like puzzles, and the "Find It" game, plus regular exercise on their schedule will make for a happy pooch. Cats are a little more aloof and can be finicky, but still like to play. Love and affection, regular exercise (or play) and feeding schedules are the ticket to success.
