Pet care experience
I’ve rescued, raised and trained many dogs and 2 cats. As a nurse I can confidently triage most pet issues. I’m a little more than half-way through my goal of hiking all 46 high peaks in the ADKs. Exercise, usually hiking or running, is part of my daily life, so I can work with high energy dogs. I love snow and winter, I spend time outdoors every day, every season. I have years of experience with anxious, geriatric, and high needs dogs as well. I work 7am-7:30pm at Schuyler Hospital most Sundays and Mondays, so I accept cat clients only on those days. I have experience with horses, goats, and chickens as well!

As a critical care nurse I excel at problem solving, critical thinking, clear and concise communication, and have keen intuition. I will provide you with peace of mind that your pet(s) and/or home are healthy, happy, and well cared for while you are away. I am prompt and honor my commitments. Let me know if your pet has any special needs or behavior issues ahead of time and I’d be happy to learn the tools and routine you use to support them. I’m Reiki II trained and can provide energy therapy to animals as well.
A typical day
I’m a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor guide and a hiking/backpacking guide. I’ve been working with a group of young folks in Tburg to prepare them for backpacking trips, they’ve done many local hikes and 5 ADK high peaks! Because of this, I am very familiar with all the trails in The Fingerlakes. I know “off the beaten path” trails where nervous dogs will feel comfortable (my last dog was the very anxious Border Collie in all my pics ;).

I have a flexible work schedule, therefore, I can often accommodate last minute requests. Extended stays are difficult for me unless they are close to my home in Tburg.
