I had a dachshund for 13 years. I now help out occasionally with my parents dog who is a small mutt. When I was younger I used to cat sit and occasionally still do for friends but have never owned my own. I also used to care give for a mobility restricted person who had a parrot. I included the bird’s care in home visits. My husband and I aren’t able to fit a big commitment pet into our lives now because we travel for work but I still wanted to get my furry friend time in so I started walking professionally.

Josie is fantastic with our dog, she’s helped us out in a pinch when we can’t get home from lunch to ensure our dog is fed, watered, and gets taken out for a nice walk. Her passion for animals is very clear and I’m sure our dog can really feel the love whenever she comes by to take care of him.

My dog growing up was crate trained so I am comfortable working with that. We have a fenced in back yard for free roaming play and a few chew toys that are from when my parent’s dog visits. Hardwood floors on main floor and carpet upstairs. There is a dog park near by if you are comfortable with us using it.

Availability
I travel for work 15 random days a month and am at home full time the other 15. My husband’s schedule is similar. As we aren’t able to have a pet full time, I figured scheduling visits, boarding or walks on my days at home would help fill the pet void.
