Pet care experience
I've been looking after animals of all shapes and sizes since I was a child. As a child I was even fortunate enough to be able to watch puppies and kittens being born and to learn to help mama take care of them. Animals have been a part of my entire life and if I had to choose between a person and a dog for company, I'd usually choose the dog. I believe animals are intelligent, loving, and thoughtful beings and we're lucky to have them in our lives.

Teresa and her family were wonderful! We needed a place last minute for our dog Rosie to stay, as we had a family emergency out of town. She responded quickly and was able to set up a meeting with our dogs (ours and her’s) the same day. Rosie had a limp and we had an appointment for her at the vet before we left to see what was going on, she ended up needing medication during her stay. Teresa was very accommodating with everything Rosie needed. She sent us pictures while we were away and her amazing family was very involved in Rosie’s care as well. I would highly recommend her care for your loved one!

We have a large, fenced yard and 1 friendly, noisy dog to keep your pup(s) company and they'll get plenty of outside breaks. Any pups that come into our home will be treated as our own. We'll do our best to make sure they are happy and will be excited to come back.

Let me know if your dog has special needs or quirks to be accounted for. I can give them any medication they need but if they need an injection I would address that on a case by case basis and would need instructions on how it's done for them. Every dog is an individual and needs to be treated as such.
A typical day
There is a 5 km (round trip) paved path beside my house that is on the edge of town. Beyond it is a stream, trees, grass and farmers field. They would not be allowed in the stream or farmers field but the grass and trees are fun. There is an offleash park at the end of the path as well, though each's dogs energy and health would be assessed before allowing them in. I would always ask their peoples permission as well. If they are special needs or seniors then they may enjoy a shorter walk, or none at all. I currently do not have certification in dog first aid but will be taking training and have cared for sick and injured dogs in the past.

I’m currently working part-time and from home, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your fur-babies! I’m available for boarding on weekends and Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
