I grew up in a canine household. Living with a dog comes naturally to me. I use my experience and skills in teaching, supervision, and human resource for their care. There isn't a lot of difference. :) I have an adult Basset Hound, Gracie, who was the runt of her litter and has tummy issues. We do a wheat & corn free diet because. She is a tenacious hunter. She loves being a hound dog! Are newest addition is Gertie. She is a fast learner and full of puppy energy and curiosity. From research and experience, I know that dogs have a gift to reason and that helps them be creative. I leave my fenced backyard available for them so that they can be the dog they are meant to be. They can also nap and socialize in the family room. It is set up for canine quality time. I call it Doggyland. Dogs are pack animals, and I let them gently and lovingly know that I am the top dog.
