Pet care experience
I come from a family of animal lovers- my mother is a former wildlife rehabilitator turned emergency vet, and I myself have been working in the pet care industry since I was 16. I am comfortable handling dogs (and cats!) of all sizes and breeds, as well as small animals like ferrets, Guinea pigs, and birds. Additionally, I have a lot of experience with animals with advanced medical needs, including senior animals (my last dog lived to be 18!), and I am comfortable administering a variety of medications, including injections.

Temperance was great with my senior dog and bunny! We were gone for over a week and my senior dog has a medical condition that requires medication 3x a day. Temperance was reliable and followed instructions perfectly. I was able to fully disconnect on my trip and not worry about whether the animals were okay as I knew they were in good hands.
Temperance is wonderful. She is very reliable, and my dogs love her. She has lived in and has done drop ins. Highly recommend!

My dogs absolutely love Temperance! She always kept sending us photos of Ellie and Louie and I was able to enjoy the vacation knowing she is there for my dogs. Will definitely ask her again!!

Every pet has their own unique needs, but all pets thrive on routine, so I’ll do my best to work with your schedule and make your pup feel like you never even left! Each drop-in will include whatever makes your dog tick- whether that’s a game of fetch or a long cuddle session. If your dog is dog-friendly, I can even bring my own dog by for a visit (completely at your discretion). I’ll also do a routine check to make sure all your dog’s needs are met (food, water, etc) when I arrive and before I leave.

Let me know if your pet has any special medical or behavioral needs- I’m comfortable with both. I’ll always ask for an emergency contact, your pet’s veterinarian, a list of allergies, and their training routine (so their training stays consistent!). Tell me about your pet’s favorite activity, toy, or treat as well!
A typical day
I’m local to the area, so I know all the best nature trails and walking spots that your pup will love. If your dog is more of a homebody, we can play a game of fetch, explore the backyard, do some interactive indoor games like “find the treat”, or just hang out outside or on the couch.

I’m currently taking online courses, so I have plenty of free time to dedicate to your pets! Cat ownership has made me an early riser, so I’m available as early (or as late) as you need me.
