Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was 7. I currently have 2 dogs at home and 4 cats. Both of my dogs are larger dogs, so I have a lot of experience with larger dogs. My first dog was a shih tzu, so I also have that small dog experience. When I got him he was a puppy and I had to train him. Now he is 10 and living his best life. My two dogs at home were puppies when we got them too. Now one of them is getting older so I have the experience with older dogs too.

Teghan was wonderful. She kept us up to date with daily pictures, was professional and followed our dog’s care instructions, including her medication schedule. We would definitely book with Teghan in the future.
We have three Siberian Huskies including one new 15 week old puppy husky. We had a great experience with Teaghan house sitting our dogs. She came and met our dogs ahead of the stay, went thru instructions, had great communication and everything went as planned. Great experience, would recommend and we hope to book her again next time we take a trip.
Teghan has loved all animals since a very young child. She asked for a dog at the age of 6 and took complete care of it daily. In middle school, she began talking about being a Veterinarian. She currently has 2 dogs and multiple cats and cared for them as well, but the rescue dog is hers. Leaving that part of her family (the pets and the people) to attend college was difficult, and she misses them all. In addition, she is an excellent student, reliable and dependable in all past employments, and honest. Most of all she wears her love of animals and it shows! She would make an excellent, responsible, and loving caregiver more than anyone I know.

In my client's home, I would definitely take them out on a schedule to make sure they don't have any accidents in the house. If they are puppies, I would work on training them in free time and playing with them to get their energy out. With all animals I would take on walks, time varying depending on the weather. Making sure to clean up any messes that are made and prioritizing the time I spend with the animal (s).

Some info I would like to know about a dog is if there is any medications needed and how they like to be given it. If your dog has any special quirks to them or specific games they like to play. I love to treat dogs as they are my own so knowing as much info about them is amazing.
A typical day
Some activities I like to do with dogs is I love to take them out on walks. If they are in the mood to run, I will run with them too. Tug-of-war is my favorite game to play with all dogs if they are up to it. I also love to cuddle with any animal thag is up for it!

Availability
I am currently a full time student. I would be able to dog-sit, give walks and have playdates typically whenever. My classes change per semester so it would depend but as of right now, later afternoon and evenings are available. I also work on the weekends in the mornings. No more than 7 hours typically. Once a week I volunteer at PetSmart to socialize with the kittens and clean them up a bit. Right now I am doing this on the weekends in the evenings. Takes no longer than 2 hours.
