Pet care experience
Though I've never actually owned a dog myself, but I have spent the last couple of years taking care of them. Former roommates of mine had dogs and I did my part in looking after them. The most recent was a golden retriever puppy my roommate got last September that I looked after as if he were my own. I fed him, walked him, played with him and looked after him overnight if my roommate couldn't. When he was neutered I made sure to keep a special eye on him as he often managed to maneuver his cone directly onto his stitches. He taught me so much about taking care of a dog, especially a growing puppy.

Teesha's love for dog's is genuine and infectious. Growing up, I always had animals around me, but I never knew that someone could enjoy their company as much as when I saw Teesha interact with dogs and cats alike. She truly understands their needs and fulfils them without question. Teesha understands how important it is for an animal to be happy and healthy, and always strives to make them as comfortable as possible. Seeing her true love for any pup she encounters inspired a love within myself I hadn't known before, and I can truly say that I appreciate every animal I encounter so much more having known Teesha and the way she interacts and bonds with dogs and cats alike. Five stars all the way!

I don't have any breed preferences, I would just prefer for the dog to be controllable. I would like to know what the dog generally likes or dislikes that way I'm not surprised. For instance, if they love chasing squirrels that would be helpful to know if I'm taking them for a walk. I would also like to know their basic temperament to help me understand the dog a little.
A typical day
If the neighborhood is open with lots of greenway and sidewalks, a walk there would be fine. If there isn't a lot of space, there are plenty of parks in Harrisonburg that I could take the dog to if the owners would be fine with it. Depending on the dog, the owners opinion and how responsive he/she is, I could let the dog off the leash and play fetch or run around with them.
