Pet care experience
I'm an animal lover with 20+ years experience of pet sitting. I am a reliable sitter with a breadth of experience from domestic to farm to exotic animal care. I'm very careful with animals of all kinds and always ask questions when I'm not sure of something. Specifically, since I was a kid I've lived with dogs and cats of all ages in my family home (4 over the years) and have pet sit for neighbors (dogs, cats, fish, and gliders). In recent years I have 5 years of experience with my own backyard chickens here in CA, 2 volunteer stints with sole care of 50+ animals at an exotic animal rescue/rehab in NC, and 1 season each at a Tiger Rescue and Farm Animal Rescue in NC.

Juno had another great weekend with Ted! He made sure she got tons of exercise and that she was well cared for the entire weekend. I highly recommend!
Ted did an outstanding job taking care of Juno. She can be shy and he handled her needs very well. I love knowing she was so well taken care of! She will be going back for another weekend!
Ted was terrific. His apartment is very clean and dog proof and my dog really enjoyed his stay. Ted was sure to ask plenty of questions prior to the stay to ensure he took the care of my dog as seriously as I do. I would not hesitate to book Ted again.
Ted did such a great job with our 2 dogs. Our dogs tend to be very picky with how their food is prepared and the feeding ritual, otherwise they don't eat the food! Ted took the time to learn the whole process for their meals and went the full 9 yards to make sure our babies were taken care of thoroughly. He even vacuumed before he left! 10/10 all around great sitter and we will hire again.

I try to maintain pet care to the pets' normal schedule(s) as much as possible to minimize stress for both the pet and yourself. I'm more than happy to take pets to local parks and walking paths for plenty of exercise, and for safety reasons I will avoid any contact with other animals as much as possible unless asked otherwise.

Please let me know if your pets have any medication, dietary notes, specific care notes, or behaviors to be aware of. For dogs- if you are ok with walks in public places like parks where there may be other dogs or animals nearby, please let me know during the booking process.
A typical day
I love all animals, especially dogs, and enjoy long walks on local trails or playing at a park/yard - I believe my family dog Biscuit was happiest when he had a busy day full of playing outside. I have a few go-to trails nearby that will provide plenty of safe enrichment for your pet(s).

Availability
I am free on weekends to pet sit in my home or drop-in care (preferred,) or can pet sit in a home depending on circumstances. I also have a hybrid job with a relaxed schedule, so I am able to care for pets at my home or do drop-in care on Mondays/Tuesdays/Fridays with frequent walks/care as needed.
