Pet care experience
I have grown up loving and taking care of animals - mine, friends', and family's! I currently have 2 dogs and a cat that I love and couldn't live without. I have also volunteered at local animal shelters and worked at small animal clinics, where I helped to take care of and train dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I recently finished my first year of veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and I look forward to becoming a small animal veterinarian in just a few years! As I am home from school for the summer in Raleigh, I have plenty of availability for looking after your furry friends! I can commit to longer-term set schedules or one-time requirements, whatever you need and whatever works best for you! I currently live in a house with a large fenced-in yard, two dogs, a cat, and other animal-loving family members! There will be no shortage of attention shown to your pet.

If you choose to board your pets at our house, we have a large fenced-in yard for them to run around and play in. I also live in a dog-friendly neighborhood that has a great route for walks. I love going for walks and hikes, so if your dog is on the more active side we will have lots of fun exploring and adventuring! Alternatively, if they prefer lounging around on the couch, I will gladly join them there for some Netflix. Since my family has 2 dogs and a cat, we do normally require a meet-and-greet before boarding to make sure that everyone will get along!

I would love to know what your pet's normal daily schedule looks like (times they get up in the morning and go to sleep at night, meal times, how long they can be left alone during the day.) It is also helpful to know how they get along with other animals, what their energy level is like, and if they are currently taking any medications or have any health conditions!
A typical day
I love to entertain pets in a multitude of varying ways in order to stimulate them mentally and physically. We can go on long walks, visit the dog park, hang out with friends, play with toys and bones, or just hang out on the couch!

Availability
For the summer, I will be working part-time at a local veterinary clinic as a vet assistant, so a few days a week I will be at work during the day. However, I will still have plenty of time before and after work, as well as on my off days and on the weekends, to hang out with your pets!
