Zookeeper with a passion for pets!
Pet care experience
Previously a wildlife keeper, but also has a passion for pet-care! Worked as a Doggie Daycare supervisor for a summer as well, watching upwards to 30 dogs at a time. Previously canine behavior courses at UVM to complete my Animal Science degree. Other experiences include animal training at a raptor wildlife center and working with a wide range or species at ZooAmerica in Hershey, PA. Able to do check-ins throughout the day and willing to take care of all home chores while you are gone! My availability is very flexible with short job shifts. I would be more than willing to housesit your pets at your residence, or board dogs (only) at my apartment based on a meet-up with the pupper. Trained in medical applications and basic first-aid! Thank you for your consideration and hope to hear from you.
Reviews
Tea was a fantastic pet sitter for our dog and cat. We contacted her with very little notice and she was incredibly responsive and fortunately available. She took care of the animals in our home for 4 days and did a wonderful job of caring for them and texting us updates and photos. Our dog is 3 and still has a lot of energy and separation anxiety if he doesn't get enough attention. This usually means he destroys something while we are gone. We came home to a spotless house and nothing chewed up beyond repair so we know he was well cared for. She is polite, professional and very loving with the animals. We highly recommend her.
Téa was wonderful with our rescue dog, Vera and kitten, Ferdinand! She was very upbeat, curious and asked all of the right questions before she stayed with our babies. She was very communicative, on-time and very responsive. Our dog has some anxiety and I think she handled that wonderfully. Also, our cat, is a kitten and full of energy - she handled both with ease. Definitely recommend!
Simply put, Téa loves animals of all kinds. As a zoo worker for many years, she has handled not just dogs, but ALL kinds of strange and interesting animals. She is schooled in dog behavior via UVM classes and genuinely enjoys any time with animals. She has high moral ethics and is completely trustworthy -- of this I am certain! She works in all kinds of weather and never shirks a duty. She would be a valuable asset to your team.
