I have been living, working, and volunteering with dogs for my entire life. I have raised many dogs from puppyhood and trained them from basic obedience all the way up to agility. Right now I'm the proud mother of Caroline, a collie/German shepard mix. When Caroline came to me, she had a severe anxiety disorder and would not even leave the house because she was so afraid. Over time I have worked with her to desensitize her to her fears, and now she is a normal, happy, and outgoing dog. Before my move to Oxnard, I worked for Petsmart in the Pet Hotel. I was responsible for several dogs at once in our "playrooms" - I made sure all the dogs were happy, getting along, and not fighting or misbehaving. Outside of the playrooms, I fed the dogs, made sure they had enough water, and kept their living spaces clean. I also volunteered at an animal shelter walking dogs. I am currently studying to take the CPDT-KA exam and become a certified dog trainer. Because I need a certain amount of logged dog training hours, I teach private dog training lessons free of charge. If anyone who hires me to petsit for them also wants a dog training lesson, I will provide it at no additional cost.
