I have a large, fenced in back yard in a more rural area. We have 5 cats currently and no dogs living here, but my sister has a dog that is always willing to come and play if/when allowed (if your dog doesn’t get along with others, that’s not an issue). Again, big yard, dog pool, lots of toys and things to do.
