Experienced Animal Caretaker! 😻

Pet care experience

I am a Certified Veterinary Technician who also has a Bachelor's in Science with a concentration in Pre-Vet from UW-Parkside. I also played 5 years of collegiate DII Soccer, and still play soccer to this day, so if you have a more energetic dog, I am willing to go on long walks and runs to get them tuckered out! In my previous experience, I have completed a 260+ hour internship at the Racine Zoo where I was able to assist in daily husbandry, diet preparation and delivery, exhibit maintenance, behavioral enrichment preparation, animal observations, and informal educational interactions with Zoo guests. I then went on to work at the Racine Zoo where I was the Farm and Aviary Keeper. I am currently a Certified Veterinary Technician at the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) and I have been working there for 5 years now. At WHS, I assist in the medical care of the shelter animals like administering meds (orally, subcutaneously, intravenous, and intramuscular), sedating and prepping animals for surgery (spay, neuter, amputations, dentals, etc), monitoring vital signs during surgeries, collecting samples for tests such as urine, fecal matter, blood, etc, assisting the vets with diagnosing animals by reading fecal, blood, urine samples as well as taking X-Rays, helping the vets diagnose and treat conditions, and administering vaccines. I have had many animals in my life such as cats, dogs, birds, and hamsters. I currently own 3 cats and two 2 year old Siberian huskies. Before booking a house-sitting with me, I want to let you know my work schedule. I do work 6am-4pm Monday, Wednesday-Friday. I have off on the weekends. If me working 4 - 10 hour days is fine with your pets schedule, I would love to meet you and take care of your pets!

Taylor is a joy to work with! Nala took right to her and you can tell that Taylor is a dedicated dog lover. Nala loved her staying at the house and letting her be her cuddly self while we were away. We'll be contacting Taylor for future dog sitting services without hesitation.

Taylor was absolutely fantastic. She stayed in our home while watching our dog. Our dog was very well cared for - our experience working with Taylor was many times better than our last kennel experience. In addition to managing our dog super well Taylor even helped us figure out an air conditioning issue by connecting with the AC repair company. Taylor did a fantastic job and we’d DEFINITELY use her again. Thanks again Taylor!

Taylor was wonderful. She watched Allie(mycat) for a week while we were on vacation. I received texts ,pictures and videos on a daily basis. Taylor made me feel very comfortable while I was away. Allie bonded with Taylor well. I'd recommend Taylor to anyone looking for a housesitter, walker, or drop by visits for their pets. I think Taylor's experience working at a rescue, makes her well equipped to handle and bond with any animal. She even did a few extra things around the house for us, above and beyond taking care of our kitty. Thank you again Taylor!!!!

If your dog has any special needs, please let me know. Working in a shelter, I see a lot of different behaviors and medical conditions, and am willing to help where I can.

A typical day

I am used to my two Siberian huskies needing a lot of mental and physical stimulation, so if your dog or cat needs that little bit of extra attention I’m happy to help and give that!
