PLEASE NOTE: I have a 2.5 year old who will attend walks and checkups with me. As such I ask that all dogs be known to be ok with young children, and I require 24 hours notice for all scheduling, whether cancelling or booking. He is extremely gentle with all animals and never left alone or unsupervised. I’ve been around dogs (and various animals) my entire life and have attended several trainings on dog safety and dog behavioral techniques. I use boundaries with dogs (like no jumping, no biting/rough play) to keep interactions safe and enjoyable for both the dog and myself. I don’t believe in physical punishment but instead employ positive reinforcement for good actions and have always been proud of the behavior I received as a result of consistent training and love (and treats!). My best dog friend passed away in March 2019 from cancer, and that started me on my dogsitting adventures with Rover while taking college classes for nursing. As a college student I have plenty of time and love to share with animals who need some attention and exercise. I would especially love to be able to provide walks for those pets cooped up inside, or be a safe and reliable caregiver while you’re on vacation— one of the worst feelings as a pet owner is having to board in an impersonal and expensive kennel! I do my best to follow your best friend's training that you've already established with them and am happy to do training sessions while they are in my care. I’m more than happy to attend to your plants and other animals while you’re gone, too! As former Vice President of the Horticulture Club at CNM and an avid plant mom, myself, you can rest assured your green babies will be well taken care of during your vacation.
