Dogs welcome— I have experience with all services for special needs dogs, especially reactive and timid behaviors. Cats welcome— I have experience feeding, playing, scooping and changing litter, and administering pills. In addition to pet sitting, I have experience working in dog grooming salons, volunteering at animal shelters. I have a fish tank and can offer fish feeding, water changes, and tank cleaning services as well. I will also water plants and be your eyes on your house while you are away.

Please leave detailed instructions as to what your pet likes and dislikes. Pets can have a particular routine in mind (go out first, then eat? Or vice versa?) and it helps them relax with me if I know it. I am very experienced with reactive and shy dogs, but please let me know beforehand if that is the case (no eye contact, warm up from afar, etc.).
A typical day
Let me know what your pup loves to do! My favorite dogs love fetching a ball, frisbee, or stick. Any puppy will be pooped out after I visit. If your dog is up for a car ride, we can go for a hike along the bay, on the canal towpath, or on the Henry Hudson trail. For couch potatoes or older dogs like mine, staying in and getting pets is fun too!

I work as an adjunct professor at Rutgers, so I have a lot of flexibility between classes and most of my work is from home.
