Dog walking experience: I have two Wheaten Terrier brothers, who are 5 years old. Since they were puppies, I have been walking them at least three times a day. Because my family knows that walking our dogs is critical to their health, I never short change them. I take them to the park so that they can run, take them on runs with me, or take them on a long walk! Animal care experience: I was an intern at a vet clinic during my senior year of high school, and had the opportunity to observe the practices of vets and vet technicians. I became a groomer there and walked dogs that were boarding in the vet hospital. I also volunteered for a year with the SPCA in my hometown and had the opportunity to socialize with animals who had been in abusive homes. I’ve administered medications (orally, eye drops, ointments) to both cats and dogs. Grooming/cleaning experience: One of my pups has a genetic skin condition that requires him to get 3 baths per week! I’m very thorough, and thankfully his beautiful coat is back. Also, I have a family member who has pretty bad seasonal allergies— so I’m used to giving both dogs at least one bath a week (to keep the house less dusty). Other: I've had dogs and cats my entire life. Cleaning, walking, and feeding them, was primarily my responsibility growing up. I take great joy in taking care of animals & hope to have the opportunity to care for yours!
