Pet care experience
***COVID-19 UPDATE*** I am currently only accepting stays in my own home. I live in a gated apartment complex that provides an extra layer of security and plenty of green spaces for your pup to play. I am working from home and can provide your pup plenty of affection and exercise. Unfortunately the complex is breed restrictive, therefore I temporarily will not be accepting breeds such as Pitbulls, Cane corsos, Mastiffs, Rottweilers, Akitas and Dobermans - I love all breeds and would never discriminate if it were not for the strict complex rules. I have had dogs my whole life, from small Malteses to large Rottweilers - and have never met a dog I didn’t like, but more importantly have never met a dog that didn’t like me! As a recent college grad preparing for professional school, I unfortunately cannot yet afford to support a dog of my own in the way it would deserve. I travel home to see my parents dog (who I pretend is mine) quite often, yet I still find myself missing the companionship of a canine almost daily, so I would LOVE to walk and care for your pups as if they were my own!! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science in 2018, and I am currentlly working on research at Penn Medicine as I prepare my applications for medical school. Previous clients may remember my very open availability; my position at the Unversity of Pennsylvania’s Penn Medicine is full time, but very flexible. My mornings, evenings, nights and weekends will still be available! I have experience with dogs anywhere from 5-100 pounds. My own dog is a Maltese mix, who requires hours of play, followed by hours of snuggles in my lap. My cousin has 3 large, energetic boxers that I have cared for during her vacations, with one of the dogs being elderly, requiring medications 2x per day. Though my official certification in pet cpr has lapsed, I have been trained on it through the American Red Cross and am comfortable providing it if ever necessary! Though I love all animals I unfortunately have to keep my distance from cats due to allergies! Additionally, I have two years of experience as an in home nanny to 4 young children and an energetic Labrador, which is testament to my trustworthiness in a family's home, and my abiliy to take great care of their children and pets. The rates and services I have listed are all subject to change based on the needs of your dog! If you need sitting for a few hours but not overnight, an “extended check in” I call it, I can provide customized prices for those based on the length of the stay. Additionally my nightly price covers a 24-hour period, so depending on departure and arrival times, price may be slightly adjusted.

We were pleased and comfortable to trust Taylor with our first pair of pups. Because we don’t have any children yet, and these are both my husband and my first dogs- we are a bit overprotective (we’re working on it 😂). Because these are our first and only dogs we are often unsure/nervous about leaving them in new situations as it’s a new experience for us as well. Taylor understood our situation and provided us with plenty of updates and general details to put our mind at ease. She watched our 7 year old miniature Goldendoodle and 18 month old spitfire English Springer Spaniel- Poodle mix for four days/three evenings. Taylor is our #1 choice for the future as well. Our pups are relatively well behaved and know basic commands, but the younger one can be a bit of a handful. Taylor made sure both dogs got plenty of exercise multiple times a day with some short breaks and a very long walk each evening. Taylor gave us periodic updates and all was well. She gave them a bath (free of charge) when they got a bit muddy on a walk. Though the younger dog will often sleep in her crate, the older dog (our first) has always slept on the corner of the bed keeping watch on the door. Though we didn’t expect Taylor to let him sleep on the bed with her, she did without us asking (and our hearts melted). I have no hesitations recommending Taylor to take the best care of your pet(s). Taylor charges more than a lot of pet-sitters in the area, but you are getting your money’s worth. She doesn’t take on pets from multiple families at once to cut costs. We found she provided extensive individual attention to each of our pups, so you can be sure your pet is getting exclusive care.
Taylor was great! It was our first time being away from our pup and she did a great job at making sure to keep us in the loop via texts and pictures. Our little guy Fin had a great stay and came home happy and content. Thanks Taylor!
Taylor was so excellent taking care of two dogs and our home for us. She took tons of walks with them and sent lots of photos. It was a pleasure working with her and we would absolutely use her again in the future!!
I can't thank Taylor enough. This was my first time using Rover.com and I contacted her with only 6 days notice. Taylor made my first time ever leaving my fur baby, Lilo (a service dog in training), so much easier. She came to my hotel room and took care of Lilo while I attended a relative's wedding. She kept me up to date during the evening and sent me pics of my pup. Lilo got a walk to the park and Taylor gave her everything she needed including meds. I could tell from the first moment that Taylor is very comfortable and knowledgeable about dogs. I would hire her again in a heart beat!! Thank you Taylor from the bottom of my heart♡

Information Taylor H. would like to know about your pet
Does your pup need to stick to a strict schedule? (Eating, walking, sleeping, etc.) Would you like to schedule a meet and greet beforehand? What is your preferred mode of communication? Do you always take the same walking route? Does your pup have any triggers? (Other dogs, children, trash trucks, thunder, etc.) What is your pups favorite way to play? (Indoors/ outdoors, tug/fetch) What kind of collar/harness do you use? Does your pup have any medical needs?
A typical day
I will walk your pup wherever you ask me to, whether you have a usual route, or just some general boundaries that would make you more comfortable to know where we are. I always prefer to walk on quieter, less busy streets to avoid any potential triggers your pup may have, and we will always stay safe on the sidewalk.
