We met the night before I left and I showed her the run through of everything. I told her I would leave the key in an envelope under the mat and after her last visit to put it back in the envelope but under the mat. Fortunately, my roommate was in town but auctuallu staying at someone’s house on a rover assignment. She dropped by our house a few days after I left and called me very concerned because the door was left unlocked, the litter box had not been cleaned and she said the cat bowls were completely empty (which rarely happens unless they have gone a long time without food). I contacted my rover (via the rover app) and she said she didn’t realize that I had had wanted the litter box cleaned. Which seems ridiculous to me because I have a litter genie and I went over how it operates with her. My roommate said the next time she dropped in the litter genie was open, no bags inside, and the scoop was left in the litter box. My rover had not told me that the bags had run out. When I arrived home last night at midnight I found my key had not been returned. I contacted my rover but with no reply and since it was 35 degrees late at night I had to break into my house through a window. When she did finally respond she said that she would bring the key by later and leave that feedback in my current procedure notes. I expected an apology. She asked if I had paid for her services yet which felt very strange to me since I didn’t even have the key to my house and she wanted money from me. I am honestly astonished at the lack of responsibility and the care that my cats received. I would rather have paid someone I know to care for my pets than to pay someone to completely disregard my requests.

Taylor was an amazing sitter that helped save us from certain doom when our other sitter cancelled on us.
