Hi there, my name is Taylor! I am a born and raised St. Augustine local. I have many years working as a pet sitter, caring for various animal species, and loving on any and all pets I see, but my career has focused on animals since day 1! I currently work full time as a veterinary technician. I graduated Clemson University with an Animal and Pre-Veterinary Sciences degree. During my college career, I worked with a variety of species including cats, dogs, cattle, horses, pigs, and poultry both in husbandry (daily care) and veterinary settings. After graduating Clemson, I pursued a dream of being a veterinarian by attending veterinary school. After a year of vet school, I realized I prefer the technician side of things. My experience in veterinary settings makes me comfortable with medications, both oral and injectable, special needs and geriatric pets, and anything in between! Outside of vet med, I have worked as a professional pet sitter, horse show groom, and also worked as an Aquarist caring for a variety of marine life, including sharks, sea turtles, sting rays, and more. We even worked with training these animals! I currently volunteer with a sea turtle hospital as well. In my personal life, I have spent the majority of my free time with animals. I started horseback riding from a young age, and learned the importance of building a relationship with the animals around you. I learned principles of training, nutrition, exercise, and more starting from an early age. I have had seven dogs with my family that I have helped care for, including puppies, kittens, and elderly pets as well. I personally have a little fluffy cat of my own, named Lilly. My family has two new puppies that I have helped start their training, puppy sat, made care recommendations, and of course, spent lots of time playing and snuggling! With your pets, you can expect lots and lots of love! I am an adventurous person who loves the outdoors, so there will be lots of time spent playing with your pups, or if you are okay with it, bringing them on adventures with me! I love the beach, but a good beach day with a pup is even better! I am comfortable with all types of pets, care, and would love a new fitness pal to go on walks or runs with.
