Hi! My name is Taylor. I'm the daughter of a veterinarian and am a human physician myself. For the past 11 years, I have been pet-sitting and house-sitting as I worked through school. I grew a loyal client base simply through word-of-mouth and had many satisfied customers before my move to Memphis. They and their pets were like family to me. I have a wide range of experience with all types of dogs, cats, and even exotics. My own dogs did not move to Memphis with me, so I only have an African Sulcata tortoise named Marcel living with me right now. He has his own enclosed space in my apartement that I can block access to, if needed. I previously specialized in pets with complex routines and medical conditions, due to my background. However, I have a broad knowledge base and love to care for any type of pet, young or old.

When house-sitting in client's homes, I keep their pets' routines as close to normal as possible. I usually stay in a guest room and spend the night for as many nights as the client will be gone. I help with pets' routines and checking mail, watering plants, etc. I then plan to leave the day the client returns and am not in the home upon their return.

I have paperwork that I have new clients fill out regarding their pet's behavior, everyday routines, and veterinary care, as well as gate codes, security, and WiFi when staying in the home. It's important to know what the dog enjoys and their personality or any behavioral concerns so that I can be aware of them on walks or in the home when playing.
A typical day
I love to go on walks and am still learning the best scenery to do so in Memphis. If the pet is able, I will sometimes take them on adventures in my car to different areas than their own neighborhood for more stimulating walks. I also love to play fetch, tug of war, feather-stick or brushing, etc, depending on what the pets are used to playing, to help keep them in their routines and enjoy their day.

Availability
My hours and availability vary from week to week and month to month. I typically do not know my schedule until a few weeks in advance. My work requires me to be gone for 10-12 hours at a time on the days I work. However, I usually have a span of days that I am off where I will be available for walks, potty breaks, enclosure/pet cleaning tasks, or house-sitting.
