I have grown up working with and handling dogs and I currently work as a part time professional dog trainer. I worked for 6 years at a dog daycare, boarding, training, and grooming center where I was a daycare technician during the day, a dog trainer in night classes, as well as an assistant grooming hand when needed. I grew up with dogs and have been showing dogs in conformation, agility, obedience, and rally since I was 10 years old. I have handled other peoples' dogs in conformation and agility including a wide variety of breeds: Irish Wolfhounds, Pomeranians, Shetland Sheepdogs, Belgian Sheepdogs, Belgian Tervurans, Icelandic Sheepdogs, Samoyeds, and more. I have experience with nearly all sizes and breeds in some capacity! I also used to work at a zoo and I have a bachelors in Animal Biotechnology & Conservation where I took many pre-vet courses.

I like to incorporate boarding dogs into my pack as much as possible and treat them like my own, so basically, whatever my personal dogs are doing, my boarding dogs get to do, too! This is why I only take one boarding dog at a time, so I can give them the attention they need!

I like to know your dog's general routine-when they wake up, eat meals, and settle down for the night, and I try to stick to that routine as much as possible. It's also helpful to know your dogs general energy level so I can keep them busy throughout the day. Also, if your dog has any behavioral issues, allergies, special needs, etc. that is good to know, too.
A typical day
We usually get a slow start to the day, I let dogs have play time in the backyard in the morning while I drink my coffee and watch them. Then depending on the day/weather we may chill in the house or go on walks to our local parks, I'm open to whatever your dog likes to do!
