Huntersville Dog Mom & Sitter

Pet care experience

Hi there! I’m Tayler, and I can’t wait to meet your fur baby! I’ve been dog sitting for years for friends, and I have two girls of my own, Maisie and Miley (more on them later!). I’ve worked at dog boarding facilities, fostered puppies, I’m continuously training my girls, and I’ve volunteered at animal shelters for a number of years. I’m a passionate, pet-every-dog-I-see kind of person, and I’m comfortable with dogs of all temperaments and sizes. On Dog Boarding in my house: - I am in a house with an un-fenced yard, but that just means supervised more leash walking! Plus, I can verify whether they actually poop and pee. My own girls r e f u s e to pee when it rains unless I endlessly ask them to go potty. Gotta love it! - I have two dogs, Maisie and Miley. They are spayed, up-to-date on shots, crate trained, and 50lbs each. They can be kept separate from your dog on request. Otherwise, they’re happy to play! - Dogs and furniture? Absolutely, you bet if your dog is down to cuddle on the couch, there will be a spot for them. My Background: I grew up with a special needs pug, named Ozzy, who by the time he was 10 years old (and I was 16), he was almost entirely blind and required daily eye drops and nose-roll medication. I cherished spending his last years caring and loving for him, especially in his final hospice year, which solidified my love for senior and special needs dogs. I’m very comfortable administering pills, creams, and taking disabilities into consideration when dog sitting or walking (I love pugs, and goodness knows how fragile those stocky little bodies are - Ozzy couldn’t handle temperatures over 70 degrees, would sit down and refuse to budge on walks that lasted a foot too long, and snored like nobody’s business— and I loved him all the more for it). I’ve volunteered at animal shelters for a number of years, which is why I’m very comfortable with reading dog behavior and respecting dog boundaries. Every dog has their own past, personality, and needs, and I’m happy to accommodate them as much as I can. I have two girls, a lab mix named Maisie (3 y/o) and a terrier mix named Miley (2 y/o). They are both rescue pups, and are basically my whole heart.

Great! ? Her dogs were super playful with my dog and she sent short videos each day.

Taylor is a wonderful pet sitter. She had boarded my puppy and not only took care of her but showed her love and affection. She truly cares for animals AND she is well versed in animal behavior and needs. She has gone through many levels of dog training with her own dogs so she can easily tell a dogs behavior and react accordingly. During my dogs stay I received pictures, videos and constant updates on how my girl was doing. She ensures dogs are safe, healthy and happy. The trifecta of pet sitters responsibilities. I would never trust anyone else to care for my dog.

Information Tayler G. would like to know about your pet

No breed preferences (we love them all!). Boarded dogs MUST be crate trained, no exceptions. I have two crates for dogs 55lbs and under if you do not want to bring a crate. I also recommend that you bring their bed or blanket and favorite toys, treats, or bones so that they have a sense of home. I’d also like to know about your dog: - how they do around other dogs (please give me details, especially if there are dogs m/f/breed-specific/size that they do not get along with) - this is important because I have two dogs in the home, and would need to know ahead of time if they need to be kept separated - what times do they eat, and how much food? - are they completely potty trained? - do have any separation anxiety or triggers, have they boarded before? - do they have any toy, bone, or bowl aggression? - how often do they normally receive potty breaks? - how much exercise do they receive daily? any favorite activities?

A typical day

Walking and sniffing around the neighborhood! Playing with Maisie and Miley (if they want to!) Couch-lazing, cuddles, and kisses. Puppachinos from Starbucks, if the pawrents give the ok!
