Me: responsible, single, school counselor, adore dogs. I'd love to walk, cuddle and generally adore your dog when you need to be away overnight. I'm currently open for weekend boarding in my home. I will only take one dog at a time, so I can lavish your pup with attention. (unless you have two bonded dogs from the same home) About this sitter: Mature, responsible, experienced dog-sitter and lifetime log-lover with positive energy! Loves to walk, read, cook and draw. Why I love dog sitting I have had dogs in my family since I was a small child. As an adult, I got my first dog in my 20's and we had 17 amazing years together. Life with a dog in the house is simply better. My experience administering medication As my dog, Mia, got older I learned to care for her with many medications and therapies. I am trained as a Reiki Level 1 practitioner, so I can provide energy work for pain and anxiety. Dogs respond very well to this type of therapy. I have made dog food from scratch in one long-term dog-sit gig and am comfortable with any dogs that might have special medical needs.

Tay has a real love for dogs, all shapes and sizes. She is a loving soul . She has watched my dog Rudy many times and he always has the best time. She is conscientious of safety and followed my instructions for Rudy perfectly. He came home happy and healthy! She is wonderful!!
Tay is a true dog lover. She has had a dog for the past twenty years and shows great affection for her two dogs. They are well behaved and gentle. Tay is responsible for her dogs and takes on the job with joy. They are family. I would have no hesitation leaving my own dogs with Tay while away.

I have a very large 1/3 acre fully fenced and secure yard. We can also do leash walks if your pup preferred them -and/or visit dog parks. I also love to take walks at the local nature preserve.

I love all dogs! However, I do have allergies, so I prefer non-shedding or low shedding breeds. Because I work M-F days from 7:30-3:00, I prefer dogs that aren't so anxious that they bark, chew or damage things when alone. My home is more well suited to small and medium dogs.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks The safety and happiness of your dog is my primary concern. I am up for play, snuggle, walk...whatever makes them happy! Your dog's sleeping arrangement We can position your pet's bed wherever they seem most comfortable. If they are clean and non-shedding, they can sleep with me on the people bed. Time I'll spend with your dog If she/he is with me on the weekend, we will spend tons of time together. When I have a dog at home, I seem to lose my motivation to go out socially! Monday to Friday, I work days, but will be in during the evening and plan to stay at home to spend quality time walking, playing and snuggling.

I lost both my dogs within the last 13 months and am used to caring for and making dogs a big priority everyday. I am a homebody and love to snuggle up and play with dogs when I am not at work. Until I adopt again, Rover dogs keep my heart full of love!
