I have had animals my whole life. I have had fish, gerbils, cats, and dogs. I currently have 2 dogs of my own, a almost 4 year old Pit Bull Terrier and a 10 year old long hair Dachshund and 4 cats. We also have a foster dog who is a 2 year old mutt. Ever since I was a baby I have always had a connection with animals. Around the age of 10, I created a small dog walking business in my neighborhood and I would walk a few dogs each day. I am and always have been devoted to animals. I don’t only have personal experiences working with animals but I have professional experience too. I work at a doggy daycare about 30 hours a week. I spend quite literally almost every second of my day with dogs whether it be mine or others. I have been working there gaining experience for about 5 months now and I am able to provide some basic first aid and give medication to animals if needed. I have house sat for people in the past taking care of dogs, cats, rodents, and birds. Additionally, I used to volunteer at the local animal shelter a few years back and spent multiple nights a week there helping out and taking care of dogs. I know how to take care of any aged animal whether it be a puppy to a senior. Furthermore, I have personal experience with taking care of special needs animals. My dog who passed away a few years ago, at the age of 16, was diagnosed with a neurological disorder around the age of 2. When she got to be about 14 she completely lost the use of her back legs and became incontinent. We would diaper and bathe her constantly to make sure she was comfortable and taken care of. My availability is based on my work schedule and the clients schedule and requests. For house sitting, clients and I will discuss the needs and schedule of the animal and I will follow with their normal routine to make the pet as comfortable as possible. I assure you that your pet will be taken care of as if they are my own. For Drop-Ins, I can pretty much do anything with your pet that is needed, such as meals, potties, medication, or playtime. Really, the options are endless and we can communicate to further discuss you and your pets needs and wants in the future! When walking dogs, I will use their provided equipment and take them on a walk appropriate for their size and exercise needs. Additionally, I love to take my dog to the dog park where she can play with all her friends, if your dog is dog friendly and socialized properly I have no problem taking them with me and my dog to run off some energy at your request!
