Availability
I have a flexible schedule with open availability. I can regularly walk dogs in the morning, mid day or evening. I only take on one pet or one pet family (multiple animals from the same household) per booked time which means your pet(s) will always receive my undivided attention and care whether it’s a walk or an overnight stay.

All my pet care services vary based on your pet and your specific needs. I listen and ask questions first and want to know as much up front as possible. I know it can be challenging for pets to be away from their families and so I like to view my time with them as an opportunity to create a safe vacation-like experience where they get to have fun, be cared for, and get to do lots of the things they truly love to do … and hopefully learn new loves! Beyond that, I discuss a regular rhythm of communication with you so you can get photo and video updates. If I am in your home, I will treat your pets and your space with the utmost care and respect. It matters to me that you have peace of mind around your pet care decisions.

I’m very happy to chat with you about the specific care needs of your pet. Please let me know up front if there are any health issues I should be aware of. Also, please let me know if your pet has any triggers and how you’ve found is best to work with them. I’m here to be your dog or cats responsible friend and a part of your animal care team as needed!
A typical day
I always chat with you first to get a sense of pets loves, likes and dislikes. That said, I personally love taking pups to parks and on long hikes - it gets them in their body and keeps their minds engaged with new smells and explorations. For those who are older or unable to do physical activity, I make adjustments to their ability. I also love to cuddle, play fetch with their toys, play puzzle games, sunbathe, read and sing to them. If your pet is boarding with me or I’m house sitting, we’re going to spend our day together - which could involve anything from cuddling to cooking to walking to playing fetch and running around. I’ve also been known to do doggy affirmations - I’ve found regular uplifting, encouraging and kind speech seems to boost confidence and keeps spirits high.

I’ve been in pet care for 10+ years! I value a high level of care for your pet and so am committed to only working with one pet (or one pet family) at a time regardless of whether you’re a walking, housesitting, boarding, or daycare client. I offer constant company, companionship and care while I’m with your pet family. You will always receive regular updates and communication from me. It’s my highest priority that your pet has a great time and that you know they are safe and having fun. My work with dogs and cats has included all aspects of boarding, house- sitting, walking, trauma-informed care, and even special dietary cooking. I love bringing fun and energy to walks so that pups get good exercise, play and some running in (depending on their abilities). I am a trained meditation teacher (2 years of formal training and 10 years of practice) and try to offer a grounded sense of calm to foster trust, safety, and a secure connection for all the pets I work with. I am big on taking time to build trust as I care very deeply about making sure dogs and cats feel safe, encouraged and uplifted after spending time with me. I can’t wait to meet your loved one!

Taus was so great and handled our energetic puppy with ease. As first time dog owners and first time leaving our pup for an extended time, he sent several updates, pictures and videos that made us feel at ease knowing our puppy was being well cared for. His attention to detail is incredible and took extra care to ensure not only that our dog was happy but also that our house was secure when coming and going. He even came and met our pup the day before to make sure that the dog felt safe and knew he could trust him. A true professional in every way!
Don’t know who was happier, me or my dog that Taus is available again for dog walking. The connection they have still blows my mind since my dog does not warm up easily. We’re so lucky to have Taus who really takes the time to earn trust.
