Pet care experience
Hello, Rover dog parents! My name is Tatyana. I've had two dogs of my own, an Airedale terrier and a Siberian shepherd, and spent some time volunteering as a walker with foster dogs waiting for adoption. I know that all dogs are very special and unique in terms of their character, needs, energy level, personality, anxieties and other individual issues. I always put people's and dogs' safety first. I will be happy to provide playtime, running, and exercise for your high-energy friend or take refreshing walks and hang out in the park with older, calmer dogs. I am attentive to your dog’s needs, temperament, and behavior, making sure that the dog doesn't get over-stressed and agitated. I love handling small dog breeds and giants alike. In my care your dog will get proper exercise, great playtime, fresh air, and safe environment. I never leave visiting dogs unattended whether it is inside the house or in our fenced yard. 1-3 walks on leash per day are guaranteed (for all-day daycare), depending on dog’s temperament, and if your dog is active and agile, I will provide longer walks and running. Upon special request, I can take your dog hiking or to the ocean. I have an 8-year-old daughter who is learning proper dog care and "leader of the pack" behavior. She knows the basics of handling the dogs safely, and she is never left alone with animals. All of the dogs that we have cared for had great fun playing ball and catch, walking, learning commands, and just hanging out with both of us. However, safety comes first, so I expect that my day/night boarding dog visitors have no prior history of straightforward aggression or biting either children or adults. As for the dog sitter place, we have a large, fenced backyard (the fence is about 6 feet high). Dogs are allowed inside the house and in the backyard whenever they want.

Information Tatyana Y. would like to know about your pet
Any breed is great. I'd like to know if your dog has any special needs or anxiety issues, aggression toward other dogs (when we go for walks), fear of or aggression toward children, allergies, strong reactions to something - like trying to run after a bike or a skateboard, strong dislike of a specific dog breed (for instance, some dogs will be ok with all other dogs but always try to attack a German Shepherd or a chihuahua), fear of staircases, or whatever other specific behavioral issues
A typical day
Depending on the time of arrival, the dog gets accustomed to the house, and then we hang out and play in the backyard. Most of the time I will take the dog for a 30 min - 1 hour walk soon after. We walk to the nearby park, but if the stay is all day long, we might drive to another park, trail, or beach. Depending on the level of energy of the dog, we will then relax for some time, and the dog is allowed in the house and backyard (the back door remains open). My daughter plays with our visitors on and off throughout the day, throwing ball, running, lying on the grass, etc.
