Growing up my family always had a cat or dog around. I have also taken care of countless of dogs and cats along the way- whether they were a stray I picked up, a family’s, friend’s, or neighbor’s. I’ve always had a passion for animals more specifically dogs. For three years I worked at a dog training/boarding facility as a kennel technician and a trainer. I was taught how to care for 20+ dogs at a time. My responsibilities included taking dogs outside at specific times, feeding, administering medication, prioritizing safety, keeping kennels, and the dogs clean. Within the first couple of months working as a kennel technician I quickly developed a love for dog training and soon worked as a dog trainer at the facility. I learned multiple ways to teach dogs different skills, and how to better help owners understand and communicate with their dogs. In August 2022 I decided it was best for me to take a break from the job I was at. Dog training will probably always be a huge passion of mine and I will continue to pursue it. I currently work at a dog park/bar where I closely monitor the dogs in the park to make sure they are playing fairly and safely. I have to be able to read the dogs in the park and deescalate possible tension between dogs to prevent any scuffles or accidents.

Tatum is amazing! My pup and I just moved to the area and I was so nervous about her adjusting to a new place and not having my family around to help take her out and go on walks during the day. Tatum helped ease all of those worries. She provides incredible updates with the cutest photos. The best of all is that my dog absolutely loves her and is always excited to see her. She’s made being in a new place so much easier!
Tatum is the best pet sitter! Totally professional and very caring! She documented her visits with awesome pictures and descriptions so we knew how the puppies were doing every visit. I can’t thank her enough for the work and care she showed our babies!
Tatum rules. Her communication, timelines, attitude, and care were above expectations. She took pictures and extensive notes about her visits and communicated any question or concern she had in the moment. 10/10 would recommend.

I provide loving care in the comfort of your pet’s own space! When we leave for trips or go to work it can often cause our pets to feel anxious or stressed and taking them away from the home they find most comforting can often worsen these feelings, especially in very chaotic environments like conventional boarding facilities. By keeping them in their own environment it can be more comforting than boarding them away from your home. This may also be more comforting for you too! Safety and comfort are my top priority when it comes to pet sitting. Finding someone you can trust is very hard. I will try my very best to keep you as updated as possible by sending as many photos as I can as well as on every rover drop in card I will leave a description about what we did during the drop in so you aren’t left hanging! On walks I will do everything in my power to make sure your dog is safe and gets the time they need to sniff, explore, and do their business. I currently only offer Drop ins and walks at the moment. I can drop in multiple times a day if you are out of town or if you work long shifts. I drop by and give potty breaks,food, water, play time, exercise, whatever your best friend may need I will try my best to provide it!

Let me know if your pet has or needs any special attention, medication, or if they have behavioral issues. I can work around some behavioral problems! Dog reactive, human reactive, resource guarding or anything like that. I have experience with them and will do anything I can to prevent any unwanted accidents! (For any human reactive dogs a meet and greet in person is MANDATORY!!! It is possible we might have to meet more than once to ensure that they are comfortable with me and I am comfortable with them.) I also would love to know anything fun about your pet or pets! What’s their favorite thing to do? Do they have a favorite spot they like to be pet? Favorite place to go on walks? Favorite treat? Anything of that sort! Does your pet have any kind of training? If so I would love to know their cues and if there are any specific steps you want me to take because of any training.
A typical day
I believe that every animal is different and whatever they enjoy to do I’m absolutely always up for it! cuddling on the couch, just keeping them company, going on a walk in the park, playing tug, playing fetch, sunbathing in the yard, and even trips to a pet friendly store. Let me know what your pet enjoys the most! I want to make sure your pets are as happy, safe, and comfortable as they can be while you are away!

Availability
I’m currently working part time at a dog park. Hours have been changing a bit more for me recently. I’m currently only there Friday and Saturday 4pm-10pm. Sometimes this will change I try my best to keep this updated if it does change. Please also take a moment to view my calendar and send in a request for your dates and times and I’ll be sure to let you know if I’m available or not! (I am able to do drop ins/walks before my shifts and even after my shifts as long as the later hours aren’t a big problem for you!) I can house sit / do drop ins multiple times a day but please keep in mind I do not stay overnight.
