Pet care experience
I have 15 years of experience with caring for dogs, cats, and amphibians! I’m not much of a human person, but I will make an undeniable connection with your pet. I make sure your pet is comfortable with me before doing anything else. I have experience with oral medications for your pet and other accommodations they may have. Pet care always comes first for me. I will wake up from sleep at any given moment if it means your pet needs to go outside, be fed, or just a simple pat on the head. I want nothing but comfortability and care for your pet. I strive to make space and comfort for your pet. I love a good game of tug o’ war, or whatever your pet has in store for that day. My favorite thing to do to connect with your pet is a good walk. It builds trust and connection. I would love to share a bed with your pet as well if that’s what they prefer! (I will also crate them depending on how you see fit.)

Tate is always so wonderful with our pets!
Tate was absolutely amazing with our two cats and dog--two out of three of whom need medication/special care. He made our neurotic shelter-adopted dog feel safe and loved; he gave plenty of attention to both cats; he sent us frequent photos and updates, which made it clear they ADORED him. He also handled very extreme weather (cold temperatures) and kept us posted on the state of the house and conditions in Knoxville. I cannot say enough good things about him and we will absolutely have him care for our pets again in the future!
Tate is an absolute TREASURE! He watched our two little doggies and housesat for a week, and I wish he would come live with us all the time :) We got little text updates and lots of pics the whole time we were gone, and our house was in better shape when we got home than it was when we left! I cannot recommend Tate too highly. 5 stars!!

A typical day
I love exercise, so I strive to do as much high energy play as I can while I watch your pet. Some neighborhoods have parks I can walk to, and if so, I will take them there! it’s very important for dogs to get the stimulation they need. I have used the classic “launcher + tennis ball” game in the past! It’s stimulating and high energy, and I find that they usually wear themselves out from it. I love a good 30+ minute walk. It is great for both the dog and myself!
