Pet care experience
Dogs are my life. My chocolate lab, Malibu, is my best friend and we do everything together. My passion for animals is what drove me to earn first my BS in Animal Science and then my MS in Animal Science and Nutrition. I also have work experience in behavior, training, and veterinary care. I worked at a training academy during my undergrad and post-undergrad and gained a great deal of behavioral knowledge. I have also worked at a doggie daycare where I did kennel work as well. I have shadowed at different veterinary clinics over the years to expand my knowledge, and I am confident in administering all types of medications. My dog is literally my child and I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust. Your fur baby will be in good care in my hands. I will do everything I can to make the experience positive for you and your dog. I love to send picture updates because if you are anything like me..being away is harder on you than it is on your pup :)

Tarra was great with Goose! She sent pictures everyday and kept me up to date on his stay! She was very flexible with pick up and drop off and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!
Tarra did great with my large (70lb), energetic dog Penny! Penny was well-exercised and got lots of attention, and got along great with Tarra's sweet dog Malibu. Tarra sent plenty of updates and photos.
Tarra was great with Jill! She made sure to give Jill all her meds, as she was suffering from ear and foot infections. I got pictures and updates every day. I would definitely have Tarra watch Jill again any time!
Tarra was great for Ollie! She kept us updated throughout the stay with pictures and comments as to how he was doing. Tarra will be our choice every time that we use Rover in the future!

Before dog sitting at my home, I would like to do a meet and greet with my dog. I require your dog to be friendly with others when staying at our home (as they may be sleeping in my bed with each other, sharing toys, etc). Malibu is pretty low energy and is mostly into playing ball but loves meeting new pups. Malibu has been socialized with other dogs since she was a puppy and she is great at adapting to all different types of dogs.
A typical day
I live in a small townhouse community where we will go on walks. If your dog is good off leash and likes to play ball we can hang out in the backyard where I also can set up a kiddie pool on hot days. If your dog is not good off leash but still enjoys exercise we can go to Lake Johnson for walks just down the road from me.
