“Love them like my own” Caretaker❤️
Pet care experience
I have experience with various dog breeds and the care that is required to keep them happy and healthy. I have necessary skills for feeding, watering, walking, bathing, and cleaning living spaces for many types of pets. Additionally, I have training in properly reading body language, basic first aid/CPR for dogs, and I also am a certified professional dog trainer with certification through the APDT. I love and care for pets just as pet parents do!
Reviews
Tara is an absolute gem, I cannot recommend her enough! She is professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly trustworthy! Her compassion for animal care, both physical and emotional, shines through in any situation. Tara has pet-sat for my "zoo" many times, and I can say she is one of very few people on the planet I trust completely with my pets - not to mention to stay in my home! She has provided outstanding care for not only my cat(s) and dog, but also my lizards, rats, and many fish tanks. As a plus, she always provides me with updates on how they are, sending cute photos and videos! One of my cats can be difficult, especially with those outside the family - but not with Tara! Ivy enjoys her time spent with Tara, and has even cuddled up to her, making Tara one of 4 people on the planet that Ivy has ever snuggled with; I was beyond impressed and over the moon to hear about it! It only solidified my confidence in leaving my pets to her care, knowing that they feel comfortable and safe with her! A few specific occurrences stand out in my mind: on one occasion while under Tara's care, Ivy had a short coughing fit which is unusual for her (spoiler: she was completely fine). Not only did Tara inform me right away, she even videoed it in case I needed it for the vet! Genius. Tara of course worked her magic soothing and reassuring Ivy. Tara also cared for my gravid veiled chameleon, making sure to maintain her lay bin according to specifications and ultimately caring for my cham while she laid a healthy clutch! She also watched my new puppy for a weekend shortly after we got him. She administered ear meds, gave him several enrichment activities, and loved him like her own. He obviously bonded to her, going to far as to search for her after our return! He missed his new friend. If you're anything like me, my pets are my family and I refuse to compromise on any aspect of their care and keeping. Rest assured that Tara holds the same values, and is an outstandingly kind and competent care giver that sets a new standard with a very high bar.
Tara is a certified professional dog trainer with several years of experience in training, walking, and caring for dogs amongst other animals in the home. She approaches each animal with care and empathy. She has cared for, trained, and walked my sensitive baby, Emmy, for me and I never had a doubt in my mind while she was in Tara’s care. She is one of the only people I trust with my fur baby!
Tara has watched my pets multiple times. My dog is in love with her! I never have to doubt the safety and well-being of my pets in her care. (Also to mention, she has experience with fur, feathers, and scales)

Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I currently live in a home with a spacious fully fenced yard with double barriers at gates. I would prefer to do in client home services because I have also found that pets are more comfortable in their own family’s home. Although, overnight boarding at my place can be discussed and arranged if necessary.
Information Tara T. would like to know about your pet
I really like to know how the dog feels about someone new coming into the home, if the are any sensitive areas on their body or where they prefer not to be touched, what their daily exercise typically looks like and what kind, and lastly, how walks typically go them?
A typical day
I love to start off the day with enrichment or games for breakfast. Typically cuddle time is added in if the dog likes that as well as potty breaks and walks throughout the day! I like to send frequent photos and updates to the families so they know how their pets are doing- this usually involved several photo opts during the day!

Availability
I’m currently working full time as a dog trainer but I do have additional time on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. On those days, I may need to leave for 4-6 hour span for training session, errands or other obligations but those can be discussed before-hand so pet parents are aware of those times.
