Hi there! My name is Tara and I have just recently moved across country to the west coast. I've owned dogs my entire life and cannot imagine life without them, so I am looking to help pet owners with dog walking, dog sitting, and providing lots of caring attention to their loved (furry) ones while they're away! I live with one other person, my boyfriend, who is also a dog-lover willing and happy to help. Together we both have plenty of experience providing for dogs, dog sitting for friends and family, and of course, walking dogs. Your dog's well-being will be our main priority, therefore one of us will be with them the entire time they are under our care. I will also be available to keep you up-to-date during your dog's stay with us to ensure you feel comfortable and happy during their entire stay. I understand how uneasy it is leaving a pet, and I promise to make it my goal to warmly welcome your dog into our home and ensure he/she feels safe and receives all of the love and attention necessary until your return. Tara is awesome !! She was Extremely helpful, I was so scare to leave sparky for 10 days but She was so nice and sweet with him she did everything that We requested! She sent us frequent updates with photos and he looked happy and calm in every single picture !! It was nice to know he was in good hands while we were away, we will definitely use her again.!! This is the first time I've used this website and was understandably nervous leaving my dog with a complete stranger. My fears were for naught, as Tara was a home run! She got back to me promptly on my initial inquiries and just seemed very genuine and caring. Max did so well with her! He has a lot of separation anxiety and often won't eat but she handled it well and he DID eat after a first night's snit. He was walked often and got loads of loving and belly scratches. I received updates and pictures while we were gone just to ease any doubts. The real test was when we picked him up. He walked out very calmly and just hopped in the car...no hysterics, whimpering, etc so that told me he was a happy camper. Would highly recommend Tara!!!!
Tara has been the most reliable and trustworthy dog sitter for my golden retriever. At 110 lbs Ben is quite a handful to manage but Tara has skillfully mastered handling his overly energetic personality. There have been a few other sitters before Tara but she soon became my only choice as Ben was very comfortable with her and always well cared for. I think he minded her more than I which was a credit to her skill of handling a large breed dog. Ben was always excited to visit with her and sometimes a little reluctant to leave. I have total confidence in Tara to provide Ben with a home away from home and trust her care of him completely. Leaving Ben with Tara brings that peace of mind that he is safe, cared for and loved.

A typical day
We live within walking distance to a large dog-friendly park, walking paths alongside the ocean, hiking trails, and beaches. All of these are the perfect places to explore with your dog and tire them out with healthy exercise! We also live 0.1 miles (2 minute walk) from a veterinary hospital. As a previous dog owner, I've become a pro at playing catch and tug-o-war with dogs, so I would love if you pack any of your pet's favorite toys with them, as well. Please note: I will take two dogs at once if they live together and are from the same owners/home. Otherwise, I will only take one dog at a time so that I can provide my undivided attention. It's hard enough for them to be away from you, so we don't want to put them in the position of being with unfamiliar dogs.
