Patient & Caring Dog-Lover!
Pet care experience
Since I can remember, dogs have been my favorite animals! I have been working with Rover for about 6 years now and I love it, mostly because I love animals and specifically I adore dogs! They are so loyal, loving, and sweet! I enjoy spending time with and taking care of all dogs - whether they have “behavioral” concerns or not. I have lots of experience with very well behaved dogs and those that are more difficult. I love them all! Dogs are like people in that sometimes they just need a little extra love and understanding :) In terms of my history with dogsitting: Before I even joined Rover, I have been pet sitting since I was 8 years old. I have pet sat on numerous occasions, including: dog walking, bathing, sitting, and training with little to large sized dogs - everything from Pomeranians and Boston terriers to Golden Retrievers and Pit Bulls. I look forward to serving you and your dog and I will open my schedule to fill you and your little one's needs. With me your dogs will be tended to, protected, and cared for!
Reviews
Tara is the best! I just returned home from a week long vacation to a very happy pup who definitely adores Tara. Tara regularly provided updates, was extremely prompt in her communications, and is overall such a kind person who clearly loves dogs. I was able to truly relax while I was away, knowing that my dog was being so well cared for. Tara will definitely be my go to person for all future dog and house sitting, and I highly recommend booking with her if you get the chance!
Tara was great with Moza! Always timely!
Tara watched our two dogs for 2 nights. She sent lots of pictures of my dogs and all the fun they were having. She kept me informed of their activity. I hope to hire her again!
Tara has been great with our two miniature poodles - they are always happy to see her, and I am so relieved to know they have such caring company and entertainment whenever I have to leave them.

I currently do not have dog boarding available but I do have house sitting available. Whenever I go and care for people's dogs overnight at their house I make sure to keep the spaces clean and leave it cleaner than when I got there. Additionally I make sure I know what the pet owner's expectations are and meet them. I take care of the dog as each owner requests, making sure that the pet feels safe and cared for. I don't ever plan to leave a dog home alone for any extended periods because dogs don't like being left alone and if I am not there I wouldn't be able to ensure the safety and well being of the dog - so I stay close if ever needing to leave. I make sure the dog has food, water, exercise, and playtime as needed and fits to the dog's usual schedule. I love playing with dogs if that's something they like to do. All in all, I make sure to care for the dog as the owner and the dog need, and I enjoy sending cute photos to the people whether on walks or at home stays.
Information Tara G. would like to know about your pet
It is important to know how a dog feels about/interacts with other dogs and people. I want to ensure the dog's safety. If they tend to bark at other dogs its important to know that so its easy to avoid dogs and teach them/continue teaching what the owners are about not barking at other dogs. I know that dogs are protective and can be aggressive and its okay because all dogs have distinct and loveable personalities - including ones who bark more often - I love all dogs whether or not they are considered more difficult and so forth. I also find it important to know what the dog likes, words they respond best to, and what the dog is scared of; knowing these details can help me keep your dog on the routine that's best to them and ensure their well being/safety.
A typical day
One thing that is important for dogs is getting good exercise and making sure they have fun. I like to play fetch and tug of war with dogs who enjoy that and take dogs on walks. I usually take the dogs on walks nearby their own home as the owners request.
