My family has almost always had a dog. Our current dog, Ginger, is 12 now, so she isn’t as active as she used to be, but she still loves walking in the woods and going swimming at the beach! I’ve gotten two dogs as puppies, so I have experience taking care of dogs of all ages. I’m a very active person, and my favorite sports are running, biking, skiing and hiking. I love playing with dogs and taking them on hikes, and I’m excited to walk dogs with Rover! I’m currently on summer break from medical school. I’m working remotely on several research projects, but I make my own schedule so I will be able to take care of dogs whenever needed! I love spending time with dogs, and making sure they are safe and happy is my top priority! I take my family’s dog on walks whenever I’m home, and I have experience dog and house sitting for others as well. While dog sitting, I make sure to feed dogs the amount they are used to at their normal meal time, and I take them out for at least 3 walks per day. I keep dogs I don’t know well on leash during walks so there is no opportunity for them to run away. I like to learn about dogs’ personalities and needs from their owners before taking care of them to make sure I will be able to do the best job possible. Last but not least, I always send the owners pictures of their furry friends so they know their dogs are safe and having fun!
