I’ve had dogs and cats since I was a child. I’ve always loved animals and wanted every single animal I saw. Of course my fiancé tells me no when I ask for cows and goats. Maybe one day though! I have two dogs. Murdock, who is a 4 year old intact Weimaraner. Winston, not sure of his age as he is a rescue, and he’s an older intact Shih ztu. I also have 3 cats. I have a fenced in back yard for energy release and fetch! I started caring for other’s animals almost 10 years ago. I work part time for a cleaning company and most of my clients who have dogs are older. I would ask them if they would like for me to take their dogs out to potty before I left their home after cleaning. That’s all it took and some time before they were asking for me to come check on their animals if they were out of town or to take them to my home. I enjoyed it so much, that I came to Rover. I don’t board more then two family’s dog/s at a time. I like to be able to give my boarders lots of attention and to make them feel comfortable away from home and missing their family. I feel I can do that better hosting 1-2 families at a time. I prefer crate trained pets as I do crate my dogs when I leave for work and for bed time. Is it not required, only preferred. If they are house broken and can be left alone for up to 4-5 hours without a crate, that is great! I send updates and photos 2-3 times a day.
