Pet care experience
I’ve always been my friend’s and neighbour’s reliable go-to for pet sitting and dog walking. I’ve always had a love for animals, in fact, my first job was at 8 years old as the neighbourhood dog walker! I personally own a cat and collection of reptiles that need very meticulous and specific care, so I understand and am able to follow instructions and requirements surrounding your pets. I have sitted for owners whose pets had dietary restrictions, wheelchairs, and various medical conditions, so I am confident with things like portion control, physical assistance and administrating oral medication. I will take care of your pets as if they were my own!
Reviews
Thank you Tara! I always have her walk Leo.
This was the second time Tara has looked after our cat. She did an amazing job and kept us up to date on how Goose was doing with lots of pictures. Tara did an excellent job communicating with us if she needed to come earlier or later the initially scheduled time for visits. We're sure our cat would love to have Tara cat sit again!
My dog immediately loved Tara within seconds of their first meeting. Tara has a calming presence which helps with taking care of our furloved ones. The initial meet was effortless and my dog came home tuckered out after their walk. I would absolutely be asking Tara for her assistance again. We look forward to the next walk!
We were very happy to have Tara do drop-in visits for our cat. This was our first time leaving our cat for a long weekend and our first time using Rover. During the meet and greet, Tara clearly showed experience and confidence with animals and our cat immediately took to her. Tara took lots of photos and had excellent communication for every visit, so we knew our cat was in great care. We would definitely book with Tara again!

When we go for walks I will make sure your baby has my undivided attention as well as a good time! They will not be let off leash unless you are comfortable with it, and we will stay within the area of your home in case of emergency. I offer house sitting services once I have built a good relationship with you and or pet! Your home will be left better than you found it (with a happy pet)! I will attend to pets alone and I will be sure to leave them safe and satisfied.
Information Tara D. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special needs to be accounted for like behavioural or mobility issues. I can show up a bit early for in person instruction so that it doesn’t cut into our care time, I also do not charge for meet and greets.
A typical day
Running and burning energy is important! For younger, energetic pups we will go on long walks through quiet neighbourhoods (the less traffic the better!), the Cedarvale ravine, grassy parks, and even visit the dog park if that’s okay. We can run, play fetch, chase, tug of war, you name it. For older pups we can take our time and go at their pace through quiet neighbourhoods, sit in the park, and take it easy outside.

Dog walking and pet sitting has become my full time work. I usually walk my dogs in well-matched pairs, however I also accommodate to individual sessions if that is what you prefer/require. I have considerable experience working with pets that are reactive, shy, anxious, guard their food, and so on.
