Pet care experience
Dogs have been a part of my family for 25 years. I love doing things with dogs. My dogs are walked four times a day and yours will be too. I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs, having raised two golden retrievers past the age of 15, and young pups too. I believe in active play time if the dog is so inclined, and slowing it down with “smellarama” walks around my beautiful neighbourhood. I'll even take your pet for a car ride in my wagggin’ wagon to a dog park, if that’s an activity you approve. I can accommodate crate training, special diets and oral medication administration. I look forward to welcoming your pet to our pack.

Tara and family have been amazing with my senior dog Rocky! He gets quite anxious with new places if I leave and tara has been so patient and loving sending updates and photos and taking him for walks! He has settled after only 4 times and I am very relieved and 😊 happy! Thank you Tara!!
Tara was great! My cat warmed up to her super quickly and she sent pictures or videos every day.
Ryder thoroughly enjoyed his time at Tara’s. He came home super tired from all the walks and park visits! I got lots of picture updates throughout the weekend and couldn’t recommend Tara more.

I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs. I have plenty of room and can accommodate crates, if that is a practice you prefer. I have dog crates and puppy pens as well. My dogs are up to date on their vaccinations, including kennel cough. I expect the same of any pet that comes into my home.

A typical day
I believe in a lot of mental and physical stimulation for my pets. My dogs get an early morning walk, fed, and then some play time. We go for another walk at noon and then it’s usually nap time for the dogs. Late afternoon, we go to the park for playtime and exercise. In the summer my retriever loves to go for a swim. After supper the dogs are treated to their evening walk. In between all the walks is time for cuddles, belly rubs and games of tug-of-war and fetch.
