1 on 1 training & play | Tower Bridge Couple

Pet care experience

My partner and I are caring fun dog lovers at The London Bridge Dog Concierge. My partner, Rupert, grew up with a minimum of 2 dogs at a time in his household, and I have been puppy and dog sitting professionally, for over 6 years. I don't have a dog of my own so I have lots of love, attention and fun times to give. I love playing games and giving belly rubs, so puppies and dogs seem to have a great time with me and get very excited on the way to my building, knowing the day they're in for. I also really enjoy training dogs and will make sure I'm in-line with any training you already do. I provide consistency with owner rules and commands, especially important for younger dogs, to ensure any in-progress-training is not derailed. I understand owners have different preferences for things like use of treats and walks, and I respect and abide by your preferences to the letter. I want you to be comfortable with who's taking care of your adored puppy or dog. I prefer to only care for one or two dogs at a time, but if you have more dogs from the same household, check with me and I might make an exception. I like to make sure my attention isn't spread thinly so the dogs are getting the careful attention they deserve.

Was a life saver accepting my last minute booking. Couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter. Tara and her partner were very attentive and made sure to send plenty of pictures and videos!

Tara was able to provide top-notch daycare at short notice to my dog Brian. She replied to the email quickly, and the questions she asked about him showed that she understands dogs and their quirks! She was on time and flexible, which was really appreciated. Brian doesn't always take to new people, but she was quickly able to get him onside and when she came the next day to walk him, he was really pleased to see her and didn't care about leaving me behind! She was really conscientious and sent plenty of photos during the day so I could see he was happy. Overall a very positive experience, and I recommend her services to anyone.

Patient, caring, and communicative are only a few words that come to mind when thinking about such a lovely person as Tara! During a very stressful situation in my life Tara helped me with one of my senior pups that has a visual impairment. She made sure Kika was comfortable during their walks and even learned a few words in Spanish to communicate with her! Tara kept me updated of everything throughout the week by sending me pictures and videos of Kika. She took care of my furry baby as her own and for that I'll be eternally grateful. I definitely recommend you to trust her with your pooch, I know I will in the future again!

Thanks Tara! Super, attentive and fun care for Muckle. Keeping a springer spaniel pup occupied is no mean feat! Really appreciate the kind and involved care you gave.

I have a secure balcony with fake grass and a flat with hardwood floors and a ramp. The ramp is particularly relevant for smaller dogs that could get back problems jumping from too high. I have puppy pads for puppies-in-training!

Information Tara B. would like to know about your pet

Before I look after a pet, I like to know how they are with new people and places. Ie. Do they get seperation anxiety, and what is the best way to handle it for your pet. I find bringing a smelly sweatshirt of the owner and some dog items from home, helps a dog settle in from the start. I also like to understand how they are on walks, how trained they are, and what extras might be needed from me to give them a fun and happy experience. All dogs have such different personalities so the more info I can get in advance, the better prepared I can be. As far as breeds go, I'm especially keen on Dachshunds, Malteses, Labradors and Retrievers, and many other breeds. I'm less keen on pugs and bulldogs. Puppies are an exception to that. A puppy of any breed has me melting inside.

A typical day

There are 4-5 different small green areas within 5 minute walks of my building, so there's a variety of smells and green space to experience. I love playing tug, fetch, and running around with a puppy or dog. Gives me a chance to be silly. My partner equally loves the running around and sillyness, so we will both keep your pet busy. For bigger runs we can mosey on over to Southwark Park, which is a 25 minute walk down the road. You can tell me in advance if that will be needed or not. There's also a dog-friendly cafe next to the park. If it works for you and your dog, I also enjoy dogs meets other dogs when out and about. I'm cautious and encouraging, as long as it's the right thing for all involved. When at home we have a 2 bedroom flat and a balcony with fake grass on it. Dogs we've had round, tend to enjoy popping out onto the balcony regularly to have a look at what's going on on the street...Neighbourhood-dogwatch!

Availability

Scheduling in pooches for busy professional owners is my top priority. My only requirement is that any already booked dogs be a good match, size and temperament-wise. It's first come first serve so if your dog requires no other dogs present, please book as early as possible, so we can make it so.
