I work as a receptionist at a local vet hospital. While I manage their online social media presence, I also do a lot of hands on work with our patients. I am currently being certified through the FearFree program, a program that is recognized by several veterinary organizations. My goal is to ensure that your pet gets the fear free experience that all pets deserve - whether it be in the office, in a walk or in your own home. Outside of work, I have a degree in biology from the University of North Carolina - Charlotte, and a minor is psychology and business management. I have a five year old chocolate lab named Knox who suffers from food allergies and severe separation anxiety. One thing that I've learned from having him is to have patience, and to work at his pace. I have worked with several trainers to understand separation anxiety, and how to ease his discomfort. I've gained a lot of experience from working with these trainers, and have learned so much about how to handle aggressive, nervous, and anxious pets. For boarding and housesitting I am able to commit 3 long visits throughout the day. Some clients have requested that I stay at their house overnight while they are on vacation. While I am open to doing this, it will require an in house consultation with the owner and pets present, and will be based on my availability. You can add on a bath, nail trim, or ear cleaning to any housesitting or boarding request. As a dog-mama I understand the importance of leaving your pet with someone you trust. For any service, I provide daily text updates and pictures/videos of your fur baby. At the end of your visit I will always provide you with a summary of how the visit/services went.
