I've had dogs, cats, and animals in general around me my whole life. I grew up on a Farm in Wisconsin with about 20 dogs among other animals. I took over the job of caring for the domestic animals at a young age of 7 or 8. I remember having the time of my life trying to feed these dogs of all shapes and sizes at the same time. It was chaos! But over the years I really grew to manage it and control it and I really have just grown up around dogs all my life. If there's a dog in the room I'm immediately drawn in. I believe dogs make the soul whole. My grandma used to say, "it's another heartbeat in the house." I'm comfortable with big dogs, little dogs, dogs and cats, whatever you have. I can play, walk/run, feed, give medications, give a doggie bath, or dress them up for the occasion. I would love to come meet your fur family and see if we're a good fit. I'm available to house sit for weekends, weekdays, vacations, or just to come by for a daily doggie visit or walk. I'm new on Rover but I have an old dog soul.

My 3 dogs ARE my family. Tanner's obvious love for dogs is apparent the first time you meet. He almost immediately goes into a dog whisperer mode. I have one EXTREMELY energetic chihuahua mix that is only tamed into a trance by Tanner. All 3 dogs start to howl when they see him coming up the walk! I don't even get that greeting! Since my dogs are my babies it's hard to leave them but when Tanner house/pet sits I can leave without feeling guilty. Whether it's a vacation or just a quick weekend I know the dogs (& 2 cats!) are cared for, played with, fed, and walked while I'm away. Tanner updates me with text photos of the menagerie once a day from their walk. Tanner's professionalism and compassion are a welcome oasis in the pet sitting world. I have several quirky requests like letting them sleep on the bed, mixing all kind of supplements into their food, and giving them a treat before you leave the house - and Tanner handles all of it without giving me that "crazy dog lady" look. He understands. I would recommend Tanner to anyone who wants a pet sitter/dog walker that feels like family. He definitely has the dog whisperer gift.
I use Tanner to dog sit every time I go out of town. He truly is a dog lover - and my dogs adore him! If you could see his face light up and my dogs get excited to see him, you wouldn't hesitate to hire Tanner to take care of your precious pets. Highly recommend!!
Tanner is responsible, attentive, and great with animals of all shapes and sizes. I have asked him many times to take care of my house and animals, sometimes at the last minute, and he is always very helpful and professional. I highly recommend Tanner as a dog sitter/caretaker.

My background is in Fitness as a personal trainer and professional runner so I'm happy to meet whatever kind of fitness level your dog or dogs have. I love being out doors, going to the park, or on a hike, going to the doggie beach for a walk, run, or even a swim, or maybe even out for a run. Like dogs, I too never get tired of playing and having fun so I will make sure your furry friend sleeps soundly at night after a long day of fun and fitness.
