I only take on one dog (in addition to mine) at a time to ensure your pet is safe from dogs I don't know. Our house is next to open space and a big park, and taking daily hikes with a dog or two is one of my favorite things. We do work during the week, but typically, at least one of us is working from home 2-3 days per week. We have a 1/2-acre yard and a fenced patio that allow for regular potty breaks, playing, or just lounging in the sun while we're home. And we have a big open loft area for playing inside when the days like this are just sweltering and too hot outside for some dogs. All of my dogs have been rescues with different quirks and needs. We have a husky/beagle mutt who is super sweet and extremely gentle even with very small dogs. She was terrified of ***everything*** when I got her, but with a lot of love and attention, confidence-building play, and training she has really come out of her shell. The handsome weimeraner in the pics passed away, but was a huge love bug ... with separation anxiety who wanted nothing more than to be with his humans every second. In addition, I have experience watching a dog with thyroid issues and can easily accommodate pills and special diets. I have a doggy-specific first aid kit at the ready. Through my life I've owned or regularly watched a cockerpoo, a sheltie mix, a German shepherd, a pair of Brittany spaniels, a sheepdog, a chihuahua, and a maltipoo. So I have experience watching, training, and loving on a lot of dogs! I use positive reinforcement training and am happy to work with your dog on basic skills if you want. I've always had a knack for getting even the most shy and anxious dogs to warm up to me.
