Pet care experience
My goal is to make sure your dog is happy, comfortable and having a great time! Whether thats lounging on a couch together, playing fetch, going for a hike, fun enrichment activities or working on their skills. Together you and your dog will let me know what you both are seeking and I will custom my time spent with them to their needs and wants. Its all about the Dogs. I have lots to offer in forms of exercise and enrichment as I am also the Canine Enrichment Cordinator at the Humane Society of West Michigan where I work specifically with the dogs caring for their daily needs, enrichment activities. I am also a dog trainer and teach some of the Obedience Classes at HSWM, where I specialize in Reactive Dogs. I only use positive and reward based training. I have my CPDT-KA, Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge Assessed certification from the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers. I also have my Fear Free Certification and am a member of the IAABC, International Association of Animal Behavior Consultents Shelter Division.

There aren’t many people I would trust my dogs with, but Tanelle is definitely one or them! She is extremely knowledgeable in dog behavior and animal care. Tanelle is as passionate as they come and I know she will care for my dogs as if they were her own.
Tanelle truly loves dogs and is an amazing dog sitter! Just knowing that she is watching my furbabies gives me peace of mind when I have to go out of town. She really understands and adores dogs, is professional, friendly, trustworthy and goes the extra mile to make sure every dog she takes care of is happy. I have a 13-year-old sweet but semi-grumpy pit bull and a 3-year-old, energetic pit mix and she is able to accommodate both of their special needs. Whether it is giving medicine and belly rubs or playing ball, Tanelle makes sure she gives the best care possible. I really can't recommend her highly enough-she is in high demand so if you are lucky enough to get her-- book her today!
Tanelle loves dogs and all dogs love her!! She's incredibly passionate about making sure that dogs have enrichment activities that keep both their bodies and brains exercised. She's always coming up with new games that the dogs have so much fun with!! She does a great job understanding what each individual pooch needs and does her best to provide it to them. She really is a dog whisperer and I think she's the best!! Bonus: Tanelle is responsible, reliable, respectful, and just overall one of the most awesome humans ever. She's incredibly talented in many aspects including: handywork, she has a green thumb, crafty, funny, and thoughtful. <3
Tanelle is a wonderful member of the Bark Nation live evidence shelter. She attends seminars and conferences to further her knowledge and education and is a fantastic member of our team. Tanelle also works with the dogs we transfer to the Humane Society of West Michigan... mainly the dogs who need additional behavior assistance. I would highly recommend Tanelle as a dog sitter/walker and would trust her whole heartedly with my own dog.

A typical day
We can walk in your neighborhood or go to some parks or trails. I can provide mind and exercise enriching activities, games such as food puzzles, basic nose work, agility and skills. If there are certain behaviors you would like addressed I can assist with those as well while your pup is in my care and give you some tools to work on them. *I only use positive reinforcement training methods.
