Fun loving, passionate and catering

Pet care experience

My desire to care for dogs began as a child with my Rottweiler. I have grown up around dogs since the age of 2. I have been taught to feed as well as care for dogs in and out of my household. Unless the dog is vicious, I experience an instantaneous bond between dogs and myself. I have provided board, walks, pet sitting, grooming, drop-in and daycare services for various breeds of all ages. Dogs bring joy to my life, they are very therapeutic to me. I currently reside with others as a college student and am striving to have my own place where my furry friends can dwell more freely as if it were their own home. All dogs will be loved and cared for as if they were my own along with the expectations of the Pet Parent.

Tanashia is a great dog sitter she has her own dogs , and my dog feels very comfortable in her home and her dogs are well trained. She was very kind and communication skills were everything to me . She sent lots of photos and let my baby feel right at home. She kept me up to date with everything that was going on and lives in a nice and clean environment. I would definitely recommend Tanashia and she also sits and adorable price.

Tanashia was good with updating me throughout the week by sending pics. The main problem that I had was that the person that she lives with does not seem to share the same passion for dogs as she does. With that being said, Tanashia stated that she was forced to put my dog and the other dog that she was sitting in the garage. I was not told this prior to picking up my dog but noticed that the dogs were in the garage when I arrived. If I wanted my dog locked up in a specific area I would board him instead of using Rover. Tanashia apologizes several times but this did not make me feel better about the situations. My dog appeared ready to go and did not seem happy when I picked him up. This was unusual for him because he has been sat several times and is usually very happy and outgoing with everyone. Honestly I don't think Tanashia is a bad person or bad with animals per say but the person she lives with has a huge influence and does not need to have animals around because of that.

I have known Tanashia for seven years and around the time we met I owned two fully grown pitbulls. When she found out I had them she immediately displayed deep passion and adoration. In spite of my initial thoughts of her possibly being fearful or uncomfortable in meeting them, she was very excited. I was really impressed when Tanashia actually met them because their first reaction was to embrace her and they are not so welcoming with other people. The quality of her handling and care were just too outstanding so from that point forward I trusted her to be with the dogs at any time. Tanashia is a very responsible person, she is very kind and trustworthy. She is a lover of all breeds and never misses a chance to fawn over any dog she comes across.

Information Tanashia W. would like to know about your pet

Need to know if dogs are vicious and/or aggressive towards people as well as other dogs. Require upfront knowledge of any health issues, concerns along with any behavioral reinforcement (such as don't let them eat human food off the ground, allergies, dry flaky skin or abnormal shedding) before the start of an appointment. I am willing to cater to the dogs as requested, desired and necessary. I prefer the use of harnesses as opposed to attaching the leash to collars. Harnesses will be provided if the owner does not already own one. If there are any reservations about the utilization of harnesses I am more than open to discuss further accommodations. Please ensure that your harness fits the dog comfortably where they cannot slip out.

A typical day

Aside from reinforced crate training (upon request), crates are optional. As noted by Rover.com crates are used to seperate dogs during meals, while preventing dogs from running out of the house when the doors are open. During feeding times crates are used to prevent pets from eating/drinking out of each others personal bowels (food allergens, etc.). Crates and gates are used to prevent unwanted interactions with other visitors/clients (jumping up on people who are uncomfortable with the dog or any health issues a visitor may have (allergens). *All dogs are respected and catered to with the utmost care! Frequent walks, bathroom brakes, playtime in the house, backyard or outside areas within the community are provided. Toys are always encouraged! *Due to frequent walks, playful interactions, and bathroom brakes, I require shampoo and conditioner for stays longer than 2 days as a preventative for dog under my care from getting dirty/smelling (unless they need a bath on that day). *Require brushes, combs, and/or De-shedding tools (if you have one) to prevent shedding throughout their stay. *Require any oils, creams, lotions, etc.. for dogs with hair/skin issues (for example severe allergies and itchiness). *Rover.com requires clients to upload veterinarian information to Rover.com in case of emergency while providing providers with ID tags. *Please remember to bring a Leash or a harness (if you have one). I love to give my guests as much excercise as possible. *Please ensure that the collar or harness fits securely on your pet. I care about their comfort in conjuction with them not slipping out as well.
